These sets sometimes run for $40+ dollars so when I saw the cute colorful set to add to my knife collection I got it! You can use these at any dinner party or gathering and it will certainly spruce up your appetizers

Original cutting wire broke on first use. For a semi-hard cheese, wire WILL break. Maybe will work with a soft or semi-soft. Got extra wire to try; I have little hope. Skip this product, spend on high quality. This Amazon Haul can go to junkyard or return, as this one will. Cheers!

This costs $3 and comes with same day delivery, so what’s not to like? As long as you’re using this as a serving board, it’s perfectly fine. It’s small, and the wood is very thin, so it likely wouldn’t last very long as a functioning cutting board. It might even snap if you pressed down too hard.

The size and ease of cleaning and ease of use was wonderful. I got this to give as a gift but kept it for myself. The comfort grip makes it great. It's so easy to cut cheese with this one

Ordered this and it arrived cracked. The problem with cracked slate is that even if you super glue it, it flakes off. So you will have slate flakes on your cheese! In addition, the "soap chalk" arrived completely crushed and unusable. It is packaged very poorly, which is probably why it arrived broken. In essence, this is what you get: a thin layer of easily-breakable slate (about the thickness of a CD jewel case) with felt glued to the bottom. No cleaning or care instructions are included or printed on the box!!! So, even if this arrived without cracks, we still wouldn't know how to properly use and clean it. You could probably go to a quarry and make this yourself for free. Crappy product, rip-off. You get what you pay for.

This was a part of a shower party gift for one of our baskets. The woman that chose it was so excited and loved how nice it was.

This works ok and I still prefer this over a knife. the string setup could be a little better but overall it s pretty good product

I have owned several similar cheese sets over the years, and wanted to give one as a Christmas gift. The set I wanted ( Picnic Time Circo Cheese Set ) was sold out, and so I bought this set instead. There were no reviews, but I thought "How different can they be?" My mistake! When I removed the plastic to wrap it, I couldn't separate the two parts to expose the tools. The other boards I've owned opened with a hinge or had a drawer. After pulling and prying with no luck, I noticed a screw in the bottom of the board. After lossening it didn't work, I pulled it out all the way. Turns out that the board is just two *separete* pieces that you're supposed to balance together!! There is nothing like a hinge or pin connecting the top and bottom. I thought maybe this was so the top could be used itself, but it has a small strip of wood where it meets the bottom, so it can't even stand on it's own! It has to be balanced precariously over the bottom piece. There isn't even a notch or anything to help them balance. On top of all that, the tools are cheap and not helpful. The Picnic Time and Trudeau sets both have cheese slicers and good quality knives. This set is simply different size spreaders. Not very useful. In short, do NOT buy this inferior product. It's no cheaper than much better, more useful sets. I've returned mine, and will be gifting the Picnic Time set a few days late. It's worth it.
