FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!! Needs to be applied evenly and to a very dry, clean surface. Works wonderfully and lasts longer than expected. Overspray on a concrete pool deck will make a water proof stain that will look absolutely fine until it gets wet and will then look crazy.....I learned this the hard way. Great Product and great value!!

Used on my old Bimini attached to my sailboat. No more leaks, I did however use over half of the amount. Did it's job!

Seems to work ok. Worked like a dream on my Bimini top. And they are not kidding when they say to not get it on windows and to wipe off overspray. Doesn’t work as well on clothes. Will likely save my boat top for a few years. Worth the money.

Purchased in 2022. Applied to triple patio umbrella, 2 nine foot patio umbrellas, cover for swing, cushions. The product worked as advertised. Water beaded and ran off. It’s been 3 years and I’ve notice fabric is losing water repellency. I ordered again to waterproof items again. This definitely protected the fabric from the sun. I highly recommend Starbrite. I used it on my old boat cover. I applied it after the cover had started to deteriorate. It soaked up the product. It did repel water but I should’ve applied much earlier. It extended the life of that cover for at least 2 more years so I definitely recouped the cost of the product. New cover was over $3K. I’ve waited a year for the new cover to age. I’ll spray it as often as needed. If I had not applied waterproofing to the fabric on the umbrellas and covers, they would’ve dry rotted from the sun. I’ll keep using this product. The fabric cushions are still holding up well but they’re under the patio umbrellas. I don’t have any negative comments for this product. It’s not inexpensive but has saved me hundreds of dollars. Worth the price.

I use STAR BRITE Low-Odor Water-Based Waterproofing on 16 ft canvas bell tents at a commercial glamping site, so durability and guest comfort really matter. Coverage tip: For best results, plan on one full jug per 16 ft tent. I was able to stretch one jug across about 1.5 tents, but full saturation gives more even protection. Why I chose this product: The low-odor formula is a big advantage. Guests spend a lot of time inside these tents, and there was no noticeable smell during or after application, which helped avoid downtime between stays. Application matters: A fine mist sprayer is key for even coverage Apply only when the tent is fully dry Choose calm weather—mist will drift in even a light breeze I applied outdoors with a hand-pump sprayer, but indoor application would likely be even easier for uniform results Results: After curing, water beads up beautifully, and the canvas retained its natural feel and breathability. The waterproofing looks even and professional. I’m very happy with the outcome and will continue using this product as part of my seasonal tent maintenance routine. Very effective. Automotive use for me. Love this stuff. No odor. Easy to apply. Long lasting IME, about 6 months. You'll need most of a quart / liter to do two coats on the typical fabric convertible top. Buy the gallon (a much better deal) and you're set for at least a couple years depending on climate. I recommend using a soft Bristle brush and working it into the surface. Apply a second coat within an hour. Do NOT wait overnight for a second coat - once it dries it will prevent the second coats from penetrating (because it's now waterproof, get it?). Much better than spray products. Wipe up any drips as you go. If you have questions, the StarBrite company has outstanding & responsive customer service.

I use to use this for a boat cover and it worked well and the last time I bought it was 10 years ago. I'm now using it for golf cart covers and to waterproof the golf cart seats as well as cloth seats in vehicles and heavy equipment. Nary a complaint. Update 7/29/22.........I used the entire gallon on the the two back rests and front seat only of the golf cart plus some on the carpet. I soaked the seat with this. I mean probably 1/2 of it with a sprayer as it was my biggest concern. It didn't work. We had some light rain last night and the material is soaking wet. You can literally see the moisture. I've used this in the past for a boat cover and it worked great and on vehicle seats. I still have the old container. I shook it, I let it cure properly, etc. It flat did NOT work and I'm as unhappy as I can be. I used a brand new 1 gal sprayer I bought just for this. Now the product is Caveat Emptor. Disgusted. That seat is like it had nothing applied to it. It was a light rain. I'm utterly shocked.

Used it on our thermal pool cover as the surface underneath was flaking. Worked well, has lasted about 8 months due to always being in water so it's due another coat.

I have been using this to spray on my motorcycle and outdoor clothing and it is perfect. The items become instantly waterproof, and yet still breathe. I have used it on leather and textiles with absolutely no problems at all. Glad I bought a big container as I live in a very wet place!

The directions says not to use it where I have, but rather use a solvent based product. I used it because I have heard that a solvent based product can damage plastic zips and clears on the yacht.
