As much as i rarely give any reviews on anything, this time i have too. The Innova 3030e is a little package of awesomeness. i purchased this because my step daughters VW Eurovan had some issues and this wee reader collected all the codes. i connected it up to my computer after installing the software and was guided to Innova's website where it gave me the option to purchase a yearly subcription for $60 to give me a detailed repair proceedure in helping me repair the VW. THE BEST MONEY I HAVE EVER SPENT, PERIOD! The report provided me the parts and prices i would be expected to pay at a regular dealer of $702 i obviously searched around and purchased the exact and proper parts and paid only $188 (included in that price was a special VW tool i needed to do the job properly). Today i finally installed all the parts and the Eurovan runs like a champ. there is no engine warning light and i have driven 60miles so far and nothing just smooth problem free running. The euro tech garage my step daughter was using gave her a quote of $1800 for one of the problems she had and another $940 for a new exhaust. Here's the thing, the exhaust was required and a new one installed with life time warranty from Meineke for $711 all in. The other issued was due to the wrong parts that were first installed and finally failed, but were over looked because they were just replaced a few months ago. Well after replacing these parts with the proper ones for the exact engine in the van, hey presto everything works perfect. The $1800 quote was for replacing all fuel injectors and the Innova reader and the subcription i paid for to get the report told me it was spark plugs and wires. i called the Euro tech garage professional person and told him my findings and solution and he said his reader is not very good when it comes to VW's. REALLY DUDE i said and your a european car repair professional. The moral of this story is even if your a basic DIYer like me and never done this before buy this device and go for it. As much as the problem may appear bigger than you think or was told, in my case some simple everyday basic service parts was all that was needed. OH AND BUY THE RIGHT PARTS FOR YOUR ENGINE because these non dealer service centres don't always use quality proper parts.I saved my Step Daughter thousands and i now have a cool little tool i can use if and when i need it.

My dad's car had been having some ABS lights come up and I needed a scanner that could read those codes. Everywhere I looked, they seemed to be expensive and more than what I needed, until I came upon this product. It got the job done, read the ABS codes and I even fixed some other codes that I didn't notice before. I also love that it has a USB port that you can use to plug into your laptop or computer which can then be used to get more detailed code descriptions or save those codes for later use through their program that you can download from the Innova website. However, there are some downsides, but considering the price and what those downsides are, it's not anything to deter you away. One thing I didn't like was that to scroll through the menu or anything alike, there's only a scroll down button. This is really terrible when you wanna get to an option or the bottom of the menu and you accidentally press the button one too many times and you pass your option or are brought back to the top of the menu. This is more of an annoyance than a problem. Another thing is that sometimes it can be a little frustrating to erase codes. To erase codes, it says it should be as simple as pressing the red erase button and following instructions until it's complete. Often this doesn't happen exactly as proposed. I will usually attempt to erase the codes and the screen will say that it has completed and codes have been erased, but if I were to check the codes again, they would still be there. I will usually have to try to erase them 2 or 3 times before it actually works. I'm not sure if that's perhaps my bad in doing something wrong or if it actually is just a slow kind of erasing thing going or something of the sort. Other than that, this OBD scanner has been great and it saved me from having to spend $100-$200 just for a scanner that will read ABS codes. When it comes to codes, this is now my go to tool.

Such a great device! So easy to use and saves $$$ on repairs! A must have.

el equipo es bueno y sencillo de operar , pero su descripcion es incorrecta, no lee abs, por ese motivo lo compre y lo regrese por no hacerlo..

Esta vez si enviaron 3030 g . Fácil y completo. ABS es el correcto. Llego puntual y bien empaquetado. Calidad

So i was shipped a 3030F which is different that what is shown here.. it also has One or Two more options than advertiesed, it is awesome. good product easy to use, instructions are built right into the computer used it on 2 Jeeps and a Dodge worked perfect.
