15" Nylon Healthy Back Bag Ergonomic Crossbody Sling for Everyday Use, Travel & Walking Comfort

This is the greatest bag. I took it on a trip recently. It served its purpose its r f d I never know perfect for the airports. Hold so much easy to clean. I just love everything about it. it's the perfect size and lightweight

In the ongoing quest for the perfect, small, Kindle sized bag, I ordered this bag thinking it would be the one. As a fulltime working mom, I need a bag that is strong and durable enough to handle my home life, and presentable enough to take to work. I also like a tiny to small bag as anything heavy is too much for my shoulders, and prefer crossbody as other bags slip off my shoulders. An added challenge recently is to find a bag that can fit my Kindle Fire and allow me to carry it comfortably (the Fire is quite heavy). The distressed nylon is a fantastic, durable fabric that (in black at least) looks both casual and office-worthy. The pockets in this bag are legendary, and the zippers work beautifully. The interior slip pocket (behind the zipper pocket) is just the right size for my Kindle in leather Roocase. This was a key feature for me as I don't want a bag where my kindle is flopping around or where it can lay flat and make a bag uncomfortable. The challenge with Ameribags is choosing the right size. Since I wanted the smallest bag possible, I ordered the Extra Small, but unfortunately the length doesn't work well for me crossbody. At 5'8" with this 15" bag, the length of it doesn't cross my back enough for a proper fit, particularly where the strap wraps at the side and across my chest. I worked fine on my shoulder, particuarly when carried the opposite way (with the bag at the front and strap at the back), but this isn't my preference for bags. I returned this and tried the FUL Ditty (also to be returned, see other review) and the Ameribag Distressed Nylon in Small and Large Baglett, both of which are keepers (see their reviews). If you're thinking about a Healthy Back Bag, you can't really go wrong with Amazon and their great return policy. If you're not going to carry it crossbody and/or are 5'4" or less, this bag might be perfect for you.

I hate purses. They fall off, it's hard to find things in the bottom of them, they are uncomfortable to carry, or you are constantly switching purses when you just need to run to the grocery store. No thanks! This bag solves all those problems. Like a book bag with more style. Organized space with lots of pockets, but everything is still at your fingertips. It's small enough to flip over your head and forget it's there. Zipper lies against your back for added security. Adjustable strap that never false off your shoulder. Swing it forward to grab what you need and put it back without removing it. Hands free living! This size is perfect for all the necessities without the bulk of unnecessary bag, and a generous open compartment for a few extras. So many pockets! This is my second one of these bags - first one lasted 7+ years with daily use and could have gone longer but I was ready for a fresh look. Worth every penny.

I've carried this purse for nearly 30 years and can't imagine getting anything else.I started with a leather one, which is really nice, gut adds significantly to the weight. Now I use the nylon or microfiber. It's durable and light weight. It really does save my shoulder from strain. Further has plenty of pockets, carries everything I need, but not too much. Be sure to get the Xsmall, it's the size of a normal purse. Even the Small is too big.

I, too, prefer the non padded version BUT I do like this size. Everything I had in the next size up version, fits in this size, but without any wiggle room. Not sure I could add a sweater, water bottle, and my own Ziploc of popcorn for the movies (shhhhh) BUT this size looks a bit more 'stylish'. The padded pocket is big enough for my Kindle, and would probably hold an iPad mini. My 2nd gen iPad will NOT fit in the padded pocket BUT if I just stuff it into the main part of the purse, it WILL fit. You could also add a small wallet or things that were also not too bulky (ie flat-ish). The zipper just closes . . but it's nice to know I COULD get it in there if I had to. Ameribag should consider making the padded pocket with a velcro closure so it could be removed. I suppose I could possibly rip it out and use duct tape but . . . it doesn't bother me that much. UPDATE! The padded areas finally got to me . . so I took out the padding at both places. It's not attached at all. Make slits (around 2 inches long), stick your fingers in an curl the padding (styrofoam) around your fingers and pull it out. Patch the slits with Bondex Outdoor Restore. I wanted to fold it into my carry on bag and now I can! Also gives me a bit more room . . . My iPhone 4s fits inside the larger of the two 'magnetic' pockets . . but with only a small protective case. If you have a mega Otterbox, it might be a stretch. Because there are two pockets instead of the one, these pockets tend to only hold flatter objects. The smaller pocket will hold two packs of TicTacs. It's new and I suspect the fabric will loosen up a bit with use. These bags are great for travel . . I feel like I have a good handle on it. I was with a girl in Fiji who had her purse snatched right after making an ATM withdrawal. WAY too easy of a target, purses. On the strap, there IS a different kind of fabric towards the top that seems to be less slippery than the Nylon the bag is made out of. Someone previously mentioned that the non slip material was missing - it's there, just a different fabric than before. A 16 oz plastic bottle of water will fit in the outside 'spine' pocket, but because this bag is smaller, only half the bottle is in the pocket. Secure enough for a walk around New York but might fall out if you were running for a train. I backpacked around the globe well into my 40's and had a day pack that had my purse in it. Finally grew up and graduated to an Ameribag. The day pack for adults!

Ordered the wrong color so sending back but have the right color coming. I LOVE these bags! Have had a gray one for 5 yrs & it is still in tip top shape just wanted a change so I got one to match my favorite coat & shoes. Turns out taupe is the perfect color. 🤪 Can’t wait until it gets here! Don’t be fooled by being XS! This bags holds tons! All the pockets both inside & out are perfect for organizing your things. I still have plenty of room for more stuff w/just the normal purse items. LOVE the kinda secret pocket on the inside. My 380 fits perfect in it. Could hold even more but I only use it for my g*n. Don’t want to scratch it. I bought my 1st one due to back pain issues & it actually does help. The bag clings to the shape of your spine & body & feels weightless. No pulling down & bothering your neck or thoracic areas of the spine. Feeling weightless helps w/lower back pain as well. I paid $100 for my gray one five years ago in a shoe store so the price is great as well. The pocket on the end that is suppose to hold a water bottle is perfect for your cell phone. I can’t say enough about this wonderful bag! There’s so many different sizes you can buy too. I’m 5’6” & weigh 130lbs & the XS is PERFECT for me. Just wanted to throw that in in case you’re trying to figure out what size you need. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BAG to anyone with back pain issues & for those who don’t as well. The one I have now I’ve washed over & over & it doesn’t change the bag at all. I don’t however put it in the dryer. Was considering buying the microfiber one but there are no care instructions so that leads me to believe it probably shouldn’t be washed in a machine. I hope this helps in making your decision to buy this bag. You won’t regret it! One day I’ll probably invest in a leather one. Maybe when the economy gets better. Right now I also need to eat!!

This is my first AmeriBag purchase and I could not be happier! I recently traveled abroad and was looking for a small bag that I could really use as a purse/travel bag for my camera, wallet, and necessities. This bag was absolutely perfect! Even though it is quite small, it can hold a surprising amount of stuff. I love all of the interior pockets (there is one zipper pocket, one 3-section pocket, and one larger pocket) and the fact that no matter how much I crammed in there, everything was easily accessible to me. Another bonus was that I could sling it across my back. I have terrible low back problems, so using it as a sling allowed for me to take everything I need without feeling any pain. The fact that this bag is a durable nylon and can, therefore, be cleaned is a huge positive. After one week of abuse (i.e. shoving it under airplane seats, walking with it through a rainforest) it still looks brand new...once I wiped off the dirt smudges :-) I highly recommend this bag as a small, durable travel bag that distributes weight well and does not cause any discomfort.
