How to use: pre-drill/ drill a suitably sized hole and enter with an Allen tool screw. PS：1. The hole depth is 1-2mm longer than furniture screw; 2. Review: 10x value compared to box store, and that doesn't even include the quality difference. - I went to Home Depot to buy four metal inserts for a project (4 to a bag). It was (with tax) $5 for FOUR of these, that's $1.25 each, and they were the smaller 1/4" size. It was an Everbuilt brand, and they were flimsy aluminum that cracked at the hex head towards the end of inserting cause they were so weak. The threads can flake off with a screwdriver that's how poorly made they were. Now THESE are SOLID METAL (nice gold color), heavy and rugged. Oh, and how much WITH the included drill bits and allen wrenches? $22. For 180. If I bought 180 (just the small inserts) of these at home depot, it would cost literally 10 times the amount. $22 / 180 = 12 cents. $1.25 for cheap breakable crap, or $.12 for solid beefy metal. hmmm. I of course tested them using Eklind T wrenches, cranked down hard on them in hardwood, and backed them out and saw no sign of wear, stripping, or cracking. Rock Solid. Now those Everbuilts from HD were destroyed just getting them in, no more grip on the cracked top, and I would probably have to drill them out. This is a great deal and a great variety set of quality inserts.

It was an Everbuilt brand, and they were flimsy aluminum that cracked at the hex head towards the end of inserting cause they were so weak. The threads can flake off with a screwdriver that's how poorly made they were. Now THESE are SOLID METAL (nice gold color), heavy and rugged. Oh, and how much WITH the included drill bits and allen wrenches? $22. For 180. Can't fault them. I got another set of these at the same time, I think these went free in the box at some point. I like that it has its own bit and tool. I haven't tried to see how accurate these are yet, but these are useful in general for different tasks. Mostly I wanted the finer thread. I have another set that has sawtooth like edges that tears up certain woods badly. And I can't use it in a shallow hole, but these I should be able to.
