I am a big guy (6,2 220 lbs) This thing is bigger than I would have liked. I'm pretty sure I could wear it around my thigh. The dial and compass actually seem to work fine, so if you are in the market for a ginormous compass, this might be the one.Update 3/22, So I actually used it in the water. I still hate it as a wrist compass, but I used the included attachement to put it on my gauge hose, then the size is not a problem at all. The all rubberized band is perfect for my allergy to anything metalic and I am going on a road trip next week and even though I have GPS on my phone which I will use of course I will be wearing my SCUBA compass. This is a great compliment to GPS because GPS does not show due North! By the way, my last compass got washed in the washing machine and I just had to replace it, the dial was off the spindle inside!
