The finish is excellent. There are no dings or shards to be found. I really can't believe the quality of the wood and finish. We have bought more expensive Aquateak brands before to find imperfections in the wood and finish. There's even a disclaimer from Aquateak about this. However, the Redmon is simply perfect as the attached picture will attest. As the other reviewer said, there are no instructions but it's pretty much self explanatory. Two screws per leg hold down each leg and there is a indent at the middle of each leg to support the middle shelf. The other reviewer also said that shelf didn't sit well, I can only say that on mine the fit is not perfect but well enough to not notice any misalignment. Assembly was easy and you really need to tighten every screw so that the legs have no give. For $120, this is a bargain. Hopefully this will push Aquateak to improve on their very expensive products. I will say that the Aquateak benches are more dense and they seem to use more wood. If there was any room for improvement on the Redmon is that there could have been one more slat on the bench so that the gaps are not so wide. Nonetheless, if I have the need for more benches, I would definitely buy another. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful gorgeous very well made high quality teak *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2022* I absolutely love this bench! It was easy to assemble and every piece fit together perfectly. It's super sturdy, no warbling or rocking whatsoever. But best of all the teak is gorgeous, beautiful color and wood grains. The finish is satiny smooth but not shiny, beautifully polished look. I use it in my foyer entryway for a place to sit down to put my shoes on. I have it next to an antique cabinet,also teak, and it matches perfectly. I've got a lot of compliments on it. It looks like a high end expensive piece that costs several hundred dollars. Definitely a great value!also great workmanship with smooth rounded corners. To cozy it up, we opted for a warm-looking teak bench instead of having the contractor install a cold, tiled built-in. Since the bench sits several feet beyond reach of the shower spray, it gives me a handy place to set my towel. Even though it's is in a humid space and gets dripped on frequently, the finish is as pretty as the day we got it. (We've had it for a year now. )I love it in every way except ...CONS: ... I wish the legs were fitted with nonskid rubber foot pads. The bench is ridiculously slippery on wet tile. I'm in my late 60s and can't afford a fall. I can't pull the bench forward to sit on while using the handheld sprayer, because if I'm not careful, it slides right out from under me.
