Working, no dropouts, ping still good for gaming, speed depends on individual case-by-case
Why did you choose this product over others?: Not had this for one month yet, but so far, so good. I have tried a direct Ethernet cable to the hub and had slightly higher speeds, but in terms of practicality, this device does the job. It is very much faster the the old generation from 10 years ago. Having wifi also built into the remote endpoint does help with devices that require the lower 2.4 GHz range and has a split for 2.4 and 5 GHz so you can get the best out of Wifi equipment, like wifi light bulbs etc... The pass-through power point on the device is really helpful as I have limited sockets and need the device to be connected directly to the socket, not through a surge protector as per instructions... The only way to know how good the speed is will be to try the unit, as it is a case-by-case basis with a building's wiring and many other factors affecting it. Works for me. Wifi signal: Separate 2.4 GHz/5 GHz is useful, allowing 2.4 GHz only devices to connect without compromising on higher speeds for 5 GHz compatible devices. Speed: It can vary, however, my network is showing 543 Mbps on the tpPLC desktop app. The tpPLC app is what is needed to determine how the units are working on the mains wiring and for wifi configuration. The number fluctuates, but the connection has been good and working with games, downloads and streaming video. If I wanted to fully utilise a 1 Gbps connection, Ethernet direct link would be the only way, but for 100-120 Mbps internet, this device works well. Build quality: The device seems well constructed. Design: The design includes buttons for pairing on the mains between the hub-connected endpoint and the remote extension endpoint, making installation easier. There are clear instructions. It is best to check which button is which before plugging in the unit because it is harder to see once on the wall! Wireless connectivity: Again, having a separate 2.4 GHz is helpful as the hub I was connecting to did not have a feature to split this. Using this product has completely negated the 2.4 vs 5 GHz wifi issue. Gaming capability: Working fine with current ping (including ISP) at 13ms using an Ethernet cable connected to the device and stable data connection, and thus far no drop-outs.

Finally found a wifi extender that works long range outdoors
Finally found a wifi extender that works! I needed wifi in our summerhouse for projector streaming and general browsing. I had tried various other types of extenders but nothing reached that far. This TP-link pass through powerline wi-fi extender is amazing. It reaches the summerhouse which is approx 50m away from the house and another 20m up on the terraced part of the garden in the tree tops 70m in total. Although it claims to work upto 300m, Wifi streaming and browsing is very fast. We have fibre speed to the house and the electric powerline to the summerhouse comes directly from the house electric supply. The extender comes with two ethernet cable cat5 but I bought and used cat8 cables instead for fast steaming. It was so easy to set up, just plug them into the electric supply close together. Plug in ethernet cable to router and wait until they pair up. Then just plug one of them in to the electric supply in the summerhouse. Its that easy, I couldn't be more pleased.

Works well enough but doesn’t really create a seamless network
Works fairly well most of the time. It have had some drop outs but simply switching the one nearest the router off and on again has solved this issue. Some devices (switch 2, HP Laptop and iPhone) get confused when moving between the two WiFi zones so it is not a seamless network.

TP-Link adapter.
Wow, what an excellent product. These plugs are a doddle to set up and use, they resolved an ongoing problem I had with constant internet loss on my tv and iPad. I did contact TP-Link firstly for advise and can say in complete honesty that their customer service is second to none. I can comfortably recommend these adapter plugs, you will not regret it.

this solution is flaky and requires regular resets to get everything connected, and has today failed
I purchased this device and three additional extenders so i could get over how poor the SKY Mesh wifi solution was. i decided to ditch all the SKY kit and move to this. Setup was simple enough and it seemed like the right solution for my needs, then the issues started. dropped connections from random devices across my network, both wired and wireless, and each time the fix was to reboot the system. this has continued for the last two years slowly getting worse until today, it packed in altogether as the primary unit has simply failed. Now trying to get a replacement under the TP-Link 3 year warranty, but i am not expecting them to honour it. Do yourselves a favour dont buy into this solution, it is rubbish. there are far superior options available.

AV600 better signal reach and bandwidth.
In theory the Ethernet and WiFi signal should be transmitted efficiently and seamlessly through the wall sockets on the SAME electric circuit in your home. My 6 year old AV600 kit did a very good job of extending the WiFi signal and Ethernet bandwidth but did not have: 1. The Passthrough that frees up a plug space on your wall socket. 2. The plug was at the top and the Ethernet access connection at the bottom which meant the plug would not insert fully because it overhung the skirting board. 3. Each plug had its own password so you could not move from room to room with seamless WiFi but had to select the WiFi plug and insert its password. The new Passthrough Powerline WiFi extenders are better designed with the Ethernet connectors at the top and the plug situated at the bottom fully inserts into the wall socket without hitting the skirting board. But: 1. The WiFi signal is almost non existent with frequent drop outs. 2. It’s pointless having a seamless WiFi signal that is so weak that my 5G roaming data keeps switching in so often that I’ve used up my monthly allowance within 4 days. 3. The bandwidth download is a pathetic 12Mbs and drips out. Verdict: My AV 600 Powerline extenders deliver up to 100Mbs WiFi effortlessly with no drop outs in each room but you do have to manually switch (on your smartphone) between extenders when you move from room to room. That’s not a problem with static computers, laptops or gaming consoles. On balance I will stick with the old AV600 Ethernet and WiFi extenders as the bandwidth and coverage is far superior and switching extenders when moving from room to room is a minor inconvenience.

Really easy to set up and good connection speed
I've used Devlo DLAN power point adapters for the best part of 15 years now, only halted when my 1200+ wireless access point fried. My house is 450 years old with thick walls and 50 year old wiring and I find that the cabling cannot reliably support connection speeds much above the 1200mbps. I ended up with the TP Link adapter choice as the 1200+ is now out of production and I couldn't get their mesh magic products to run on my property infrastructure. I also have all TP Link router and extenders around my large property, both indoors and an outdoor repeater. I purchased two wifi kits as I need to wifi access points in addition to the three repeater and router options I have in order to get coverage across the property. Setting them up was easy using the browser interface and the connection speeds are 25% faster than the older Devlo adapters were recording. I have a mix of connections on 4G and 5G and they, after about a month now, are all maintaining their connections fine. Important for utilities like network printers and voip phones. The only downside is connection to the TP Link network over their browser interface is hit and miss whether it lets you in or simply cannot find the adapters, even when they are online and network connected. You only need to use the interface if you want to monitor network speeds or change any settings so, fortunately, it's not something you actually need to access that often.

Great piece of kit.
I was a bit sceptical when purchasing. I needed a signal boost in another room but couldn't find the right booster. I thought i was going to have to hard wire the ethernet cable then came across the tp link power adaptor. I had nothing to lose so decided to give it a try. It came with simple set up instructions, there are 3 ethernet ports so was able to use these direct into Sky box, TV etc. The wifi signal also improved significantly in the room and solved all my problems.
