Great Pump, great price, bullet proof submerged operation
Okay. So, I've tried several pumps for a solar garden application (DC: 12 V). This includes several more expensive DC pumps. This mighty giant is amazing. I use it to pump over 7 feet (2.13 meters) and it provides good volume (I haven't measured the flow rate). I use it only as a submersible pump and the only requirement is a filter at the input. Even then I've had debris get inside and a simple cleaning (tapping the pump on something hard) has been sufficient to clean it out. When submerged I find very little noise after the air is out of the system. For the price you can afford to replace it several times as compared to more expensive pumps. The leads are about 2 feet (0.6 meters) but you can easily add to this for your application using standard connection techniques. I've been using this pump for 2 years on a continuous basis (10 hours /day). Buying another one to replace a more expensive pump!

Buyer Beware!
Caveat Emptor! I purchased this item 6 months ago and simply set it on the shelf intending it for summer use. Last week, I hooked it up to my 12 volt battery and it is totally non-functional. No pumping, not even a sound from the motor. Attempted to contact seller/manufacturer, they said to contact Amazon....Amazon said to contact manufacturer, manufacturer again said to contact Amazon. In short this is an expensive piece of Chinese junk with no support by manufacturer. Stay away!

They work well but are loud (for my purposes)
Used them as replacements in a pump system (gravity feed, not submersed). They work and have a good amount of output but are loud. 55-60dB C weighted and have a hum to them as well.

A Thrifty Hydroponic Solution
I recently bought the Aubig DC40-1250 Brushless Magnetic Drive Centrifugal Submersible Water Pump to replace the original pump in my Rise Garden hydroponic system, as the OEM part came with a steep price tag. The Aubig pump has successfully filled the role, proving to be a cost-effective alternative. A word to the wise: the pump required a 5.5mm barrel connector for power, which, fortunately, I had on hand. After overcoming this minor hurdle with the connector, the pump seamlessly integrated into my setup, functioning as a direct replacement for the original. This pump has not only saved me money but has also continued to support my hydroponic garden's growth with reliable performance.

this isn't the good one (see DC40E-1250)
I ran a couple of tests... 1m of head costs you half the flow rate! That's not true of their lower-capacity 1250 pump. It is 500 instead of 620L/H, but in the real world (in my case lifting water 1 meter to a check valve and shower head) this pump takes 110 sec to pump 1 gallon. The 1250 pump does the same job in 60 seconds. The take-away is that this thing is VERY sensitive to pumping uphill. Might be a good transfer pump, but adding 1m of head takes you from 59 sec/gal to 110 sec/gal, and that's not OK for most applications. (The 1250 goes from 52 to 60 seconds with the same tube and shower head... so the lower-capacity pump moves more water in the real world.)

Great Pump for the Money
This is a great pump for what you pay for it. This is my second one (for a new project, first one is still humming along). I am using this to pump water/antifreeze up a 1/2inch pex tube used to cool beer lines running from my keezer in the basement to taps mounted in the wall upstairs. I am easily going 10ft up and the flow rate is perfect for my application. The first pump has been running for about 5 months now with no issues.

Durable
Help up for continuous underwater use over one full season, which is more than I expected. Pond is frozen now, so we'll see if it comes back to life. Even if it doesn't, it did the job, gave me a good one foot of uplift and runs well.

No instructions, no plug, burned out immediately
There were no instructions in the box and it didn’t even have a plug wired to it. I bought one, wired it up, and it instantly burned out.
