Best investment fir power chair
Best purchase i have made for my power chair. It blocks cold and rain well. I would recommend better instructions and folding is a pain for a handicapped individual.

Great wheelchair weather protection!
We are really happy with this product. I use a standard size power wheelchair and hate going out in the rain. I’ve tried several wheelchair umbrellas, and they were all pretty useless. I am easily chilled, but I don’t like having to wear lots of extra layers which add too much bulk. I have one rain cape from Adaptations by Adrian which I do like as far as keeping me warm and dry, but it doesn’t also cover my backpack so then when I go to get anything out of it there’s always water everywhere. The Chairpod solved all these issues. It’s warm, dry, and covers both me and the wheelchair. The window zippers are quite easy to use. It doesn’t cover my lower legs, but I don’t have much feeling there anyway. Someone else would probably want to use some kind of rain suit to keep that area dry. Chairpod adds almost no width to my power chair, so I can still go through regular doorways. The belt buckle on the vertical strap that is supposed to hold onto the back of the chair it’s too hard for me to use so I often just skip that. It doesn’t seem to make any difference, I think because my chair arms are pretty long So the chair part is stretched out and fits quite tightly anyway. I do have my helper take it off and fold it up before I go in a store or get on paratransit, and that process is a little slow but doable. I wish it was just a little easier to get out of by myself and that the belt buckle didn’t require so much grip strength, but all in all I’m really happy with it.

Leaks water inside.
I had this on my chair and went out the door of my home during a light sprinkling of rain, in the time it took to turn around and pull the door shut I had water streaming right down the inside to the joystick controller defeating the purpose of having it. Signed, high a̶n̶d̶ (not) dry.

False advertising
Great item but not for wheelchair as shown in listing. The photo in listing is an AI generated photo. Can't be used w wheelchair as advertised.

A little cumbersome
Bought this for my adult daughter in a wheelchair. I have to figure out how to make it a little more stable. I love the zip open flaps as we plan on using this during covid. It's a little big but overall I like it. If you're pushing a stroller or wheelchair with this on it it's difficult to see over it if you're not tall. It might be better if it was also clear in the back.

Love it!
My daughter is in a wheelchair and when it rains it's hard to keep her dry with just an umbrella or even keep her warm when it's snowing if you've been to a children's hospital you know it can be a long walk from the garage. She is so much happier in in that pod it stretches very wide and has 3 zipper areas front and sides. I did have to put 2 small slits in the back for her wheelchair handles so I could push her but she is still warm and water doesn't get in. If you take if off from the bottom front then pull back over the head the person in it won't get wet. My daughter is 10 3ft 9inches and still plenty of room in it I can stretch it past her feet

Awesome
I bought this as a gift and my friend wouldn’t use it. She wouldn’t even try it, but I thought it was great. It didn’t fit my scooter unfortunately otherwise I would’ve kept it and I wish they made one for a mobile scooter not just a wheelchair. It did the job that was advertised, definitely would keep you dry and warm

It was disappointing
Such a problem I have used it only one time

my original concerns about the durability of this product were quickly displaced. I has used it in high winds..although turning it slightly so a corner is straight into the wind helps considerably, rain, and snow. I have even gone out without gloves or hat in very cold weather and not felt the cold at all. I have never seen my breath while inside this protective pod even on very very cold days. Truly remarkable.

I LIKED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT BUT WAS A LITTLE TOO SMALL FOR MY SCOOTER AND I AM TOO OLD TO GET IT FOLDED BACK UP AGAIN. YOU HAVE TO BE REALLY STRONG.

J’ai acheté pour me mettre à l’abri de la pluie avec mon fauteuil roulant et en entrant dans un magasin la toile s’est accroché dans la poignée de porte et l’abri s’est déchiré je l’ai eu 3 jours

I do like the chair pod, it does work as it says. I would NOT recommend it for power wheelchairs, I bought it for that purpose and it goes over the chair easily, comes off easily but there are some difficulties with it. One, you need to hold it at the bottom or a good wind blows it off. Two, it is very difficult to fold on your own, almost impossible. So yes I recommend it if you plan on using it while you are watching a parade or some event. I don't recommend it for driving around in a power wheelchair, it is just too difficult to deal with. The video the company shows of someone putting it on and off, then folding it back to put back in the bag on a power wheelchair isn't helpful because it shows an able bodied person standing while working with it.
