The best purchase
Excellent Service and Reliable Connection I had a great experience with RoamWiFi. The device was easy to set up and worked immediately upon arrival. The internet connection was fast, stable, and reliable throughout my trip, which made it easy to stay connected for work, navigation, and communication. Battery life was impressive and lasted the entire day without needing constant recharging. The coverage was strong in multiple locations, and I never had issues with dropped connections. Overall, RoamWiFi offers excellent value for money and dependable service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and reliable mobile WiFi solution while traveling.

I love this thing
Finally a solution that works for all our international trips. For years we would get a local Europe SIM card for our Huawei mobile wifi (we had 3 phones and a tablet to get online and didn’t want to get multiple SIMs). Although not perfect Orange SIM cards are our overall favorite. The 3 (UK Three) card we used in Scotland 2023 worked fine for data coverage but it never supported WiFi calling mode which means we didn’t get standard SMB (non-iMessage) texts either. Very annoying. Orange never had that problem and we used those all over Europe. But this year we have a South America trip this fall and the Huawei won’t work there. And I wasn’t looking forward to figuring out the SIM card situation anyway, not really any solid options other than get something in-country and we don’t do that. So I looked into various mobile hotspot ecosystems. We settled on RoamWifi and took it on our Portugal trip earlier this year as a sort of test drive (we could have done Orange SIM in the Huawei). It worked great! I love this thing. After getting a plan for your location you do need to give it a few minutes to connect to the local cell system but after that, except in a couple spotty-signal remote areas, it was pretty bulletproof. I love being able to see data usage dynamically. I was never able to do that with the mobile wifi + SIM. Battery life was better than my Huawei so that was a plus. And we have power cells to extend operation so we never had any problems there. Customer support response time (no problems, just questions from me) was very fast. I asked and got answers for 3 questions within a couple hours each time. gLocalMe took days to answer one question. (Might have been over a week). Also, the unit can take a SIM card, so it could be a fall back plan if it comes to it. The plans are mostly reasonably priced, very easy to understand, and are largely consistent w.r.t. GB capacity and days across the available regions. Have you seen GlocalMe’s plan options? So confusing and largely more expensive. A couple knocks but not worthy of down-grading: 1- a plan activates right away when you power up the unit when in a location with a purchased plan. I’d prefer some way to activate it myself when I was ready. For example if you need a Canada or Mexico plan you can only get a North America plan which means it activates if you power it up while still home in the U.S. So be careful about that. 2- it would be nice to have more days for a given GB amount. There is some variability here among regions. A 30GB/365d Japan plan is $20.90. The $59 N. American 30GB plan is only 30d. Huh? I guess telco reg differences per nation? 3- the Latin American plans are almost as expensive as the global data plans. And about 2.5-3x more than Europe or Australia. If it solves our multi-country trip this fall then it will be well worth the cost. And compared to the vaccinations and pills we need… a drop in the bucket.

Amazing hotspot!
I travel onto the Navajo Reservation quite often and cell services aren’t great out there so I bought this and let me tell you, I love it! The Roam Wi-Fi connects to the local tower, then I connect my iPhone to the RoamWiFi and get service. It works in areas I could never get cell reception. I used this during one of the busiest Fairs on the reservation and had service ALL DAY!! I had 3 phones connected with no issues in performance & speed. I drive SR 89 & SR 160 and using RoamWiFi throughout my whole drive with good signal & speed. I recommend this hotspot for the four corners area. My trip to California, RoamWiFi was amazing on 1-10 westbound and throughout the LA area. However, during my drive back from LA, RoamWiFi was unable to connect from Palm Springs to quartzite. I’m not sure what the issue was because it worked on the way to LA. Good value for the amount I paid, $135 for product with US 1 month, 10gb. I used 7.16 gb within 30 days. The device displays which cell network your connected to and the amount of devices it has connected (phones, tablets, etc) Set up is easy. Download the RoamWifi App before you turn on device and while you’re in Wi-Fi range. It’s important to complete set up before you travel. Be mindful, once you power on the RoamWifi device, your 30 day countdown begins! RoamWifi does take a minute or two to connect to the local network, be patient. Connect your phone or tablet to the RoamWifi device when you power it on, the password is easy to find. You can charge the device without turning it on. The daily, monthly prices are decent compared to other devices on Amazon. I recommend this product.

Great Internet Option
I love this product. It’s easy to use, since I can’t get internet in my current home it does everything I need. I use it to watch tv, power cameras, use my laptop etc. It works great while traveling too. No problem with signal strength at all.

Works very well turns quickly and has great speed, watching a video on YouTube works perfectly. Easy to check data usage just click the power button and It changes the screen menus. I did the speed test in the basement with only 1 bar signal and the speeds were good. The device is nice and small easily fits into your pocket not like some that have are the size of a hockey puck.

I recently came across a travel connectivity solution that has pleasantly surprised me with its consistent performance in various settings. I travelled quite a bit this year both to Kenya and Japan. This unassuming device has proven to be a reliable companion during my recent travels. During a safari in Kenya, where connectivity is often challenging, this device demonstrated its reliability with a strong and consistent signal. It allowed me to stay connected even in remote areas, enhancing my overall travel experience. I was literally in the middle of the jungle and still had signal. I had the same experience when I travelled to Tokyo and Kyoto in Japan - the device continued to deliver a reliable connection. What sets this device apart is not just its performance but also the affordability of its plans and battery life. Cost wise its cheaper than going through your carrier, especially if all you need is data and won't be making any calls. Battery last the whole day and you can easily see how much battery as well as data you have left. In summary, if you're seeking a straightforward and reliable travel connectivity solution, this device is worth considering. Its consistent signal strength and budget-friendly plans make it a practical choice for travelers looking to stay connected without unnecessary complications.
