A fantastic product with more uses than weatherproofing!
Works wonders on smooth leather products. The boots shown in the photo were a dull, yet light reddish-brown when I first got them. Off the bat from the advice of friend I got recommended to put any type of mink oil on them to protect them. These boots ended up being such a tad darker, but richer color after the application. They also softened up just tad and added to the already flexible and thin leather that made up these boots. Definitely worth spending the little money to make sure they're conditioned for the future. Remember to also reapply the oil every so often once the product you apply this to starts to lighten up in color. Pros: - affordable - great weather and water protection - reduces stiffness slightly - Enhances color Cons: - darkens leather products (I didn't have an issue with this as the end product looked nicer)

For leather
Got this mink oil for weather proof of my leather boots It appears to work well. Was for easy to apply on leather. The leather appears to be softer after applying this mink oil . The leather appeared to darken up a bit after applying.

Works well. Odd but not offensive odor.
This mink oil is very easy to use on my leather day case, absorbing quickly and adding depth and richness to the leather. It has an odd smell to it, however. It isn’t offensive, but it’s noticeable. Once it absorbs and dries I only get very occasional whiffs of it. This odor would not stop me from using it again, although I would prefer something a bit more neutral.

My cat wants to eat it
This sinks into the leather instantly, and a little bit goes a long way. Leaves the leather soft, smooth, and very well conditioned without leaving a greasy film behind or adding unwanted shine. Also doesn't leave any weird smells behind.....although my cat thinks it smells amazing and wants to eat it for some reason. At least she doesn't want to eat the leather that it's been used on.

Great way to speed up the darking of light vachetta
As someone who isn't fond of light vachetta leather, I’ve been on the lookout for a product that can help speed up the patina process, and Fiebing's Mink Oil has been a game-changer. I’ve been using it on my light leather items, especially boots and bags, and I’ve been really impressed with the results. First off, this mink oil works exactly as advertised—it's a fantastic leather conditioner that softens and protects without leaving behind a greasy residue. I’ve used other oils and conditioners in the past that left my leather feeling oily or too shiny, but Fiebing’s Mink Oil absorbs beautifully and keeps my leather looking natural while enhancing the color and texture. It doesn’t make the leather feel weighed down or slippery, which I appreciate.

works as mink oil should
If you have used this before then you know there is a little bit of a learning curve to applying this to different types of leather. That said it worked exactly as expected, softening and helping to waterproof the 2 pair of boots I used it on. I was very pleased with the results. Understand that depending on the type of leather this might change the color, usually making it darker than it was. such as my tan hiking boots went from a dark tan to a solid brown color.

The best.
This stuff is magic. I had near $1,000 in boots that were old and the leather had shrank. This stuff brought them back to life and helped brink the leather back to the shape of my foot. Smells good, looks great, waterproofs and protects. Best $10 I ever spent. I’m buying more now.

Applied to Leather Wallet, Belts, Shoes, Sandals. All look good. Can check the picture of wallet before and after application to see the difference it makes to leather. Good quality Mink Oil can be seen from the fact that it gets absorbed well and leather gets a dark tone. Had bought at Rs 1818
