What is the age for owning one of these knives in NY?

Mary, I would recommend checking with your local authorities(Police ,etc.) in your state as it varies. Im from the great state of Texas where it is practically mandatory (just kidding) to carry a knife as soon as you can walk - we won't go into handguns...but I believe generally if the blade is under 4 inches it's okay - please check in your state.

is this knife made in america?

Mine doesn't show a "made in" description. It does inform that the blade is Chinese steel (so most likely the whole knife is made in China). Although the price is higher I would recommend a benchmade as the quality seems also to be higher (just bought the benchmade for my wife and she won't change with me)

I've had this knife for about 6 months and love it, What are your guys best ways of sharpening the blade?

Norton Abrasives IM313 Pro Multi-Oilstone Sharpening System. Been using mine since ~1986 and just replaced the stones last year (2021). But it takes skill to keep a steady blade angle.

Why is this knife marked as "This item cannot be shipped to your selected location.". I live in Massachusetts?

I looked into this and it is strictly an AMAZON thing. They block these sales mostly to NY and MASS. You can read up on this with a simple internet search. The workaround is to buy the knife directly from the re-saler that is listed for the knife. that is exactly what i did. I love Amazon to death, but this is their fault.
