I keep trying other strings and keep coming back to these. They seem expensive, but they last at least twice as long in my experience. Considering the durability, these are about equal value to cheaper strings. The excellent tonal response hits a home run for me, not to mention less time changing strings! Best strings for sure. D’addario knocked it out of the ballpark with this one. I’ve used to use XL nickels and ProSteels; these are perfectly in between, with the proper lows and highs of the ProSteels and the mid range growl of the XLs. They don’t feel as rough as the ProSteels, and I’ve almost completely replaced all of my ProSteels with these NYXLs. They’re just significantly more musical. If you dig Rotosound Swing 66 SS then you’ll definitely dig these too.

When doing some rando research on the net, I saw some people raving about these strings. I bought some for a guitar that I had being shipped to me that was in super rough shape, and I knew had some broken strings. So a set of these (guitar of course) were the first things to go on it. And to my surprise, the guitar sounded beautiful. So now that it was time to replace the strings on my bass, I figured why not give these a try as well. My CT had Boomers on it when Carl sent it to me back in May. I was planning to replace those identically; because if that was Carl's go to, it made sense to me. But throwing caution to the wind, I bought the D'Addario's instead. Boy I couldnt be happier. They sound absolutely amazing. They play very nicely. Feel great on my fingers. And my CT just sounds amazing with them. BTW - It is mentioned on the Amazon listing; but worth restating. Dont forget that there is a code on the inner plastic bag holding the strings. I forgot about it for the guitar strings I bought. Luckily I placed my Boomers in the bag in case I wanted to put them back on later, and then remembered a few days later. Every 8 sets of strings gets you enough points for a free set. And points are equated to the value of the product bought, and can be applied to any other product. So a few sets of bass strings will net a free set of guitar strings, etc.

Had an issue with the E string but after a replacement, it worked fine. Suppose to be better than Ernie Ball. Cost more than Ernie ball by an extra $10. They do make a sound difference, slightly. Ernie Ball its slightly quieter but never broke their strings. This one broke 1 string and had to replace the string. Their return policy is very cool. They without a question replaced it and i got my strings working. If you have trouble with them, contact them or the webpage and they will give you some strings to replace if you have faulty strings. They also recycle strings too and get points for merch. I think its called Players Circle or something like that. When i got the second replacement i was able to get them to work. The first box was crushed by amazon. The box was almost open so its possible it did something to the strings inside maybe squishing them. Photos for proof.

I was one of the lucky few who got to try out the NYXL bass strings before they were released. I have been a fan of D'Addario for years, and these strings quickly became my favorite. I have used the regular round wound strings before and thought those were good. These are a notch higher in sound and quality. The sound is similar, but I would have to say that notes are louder and cleaner. I found it easier to hear myself in the mix during live performances. I also found that the strings sounded better longer than the regular strings from D'Addario. So I could play these strings for a longer amount of time before changing them out. I think that is worth the price right there! If you are looking for strings that last a long time and push your sound to a new level then buy a set now!

Super great material for such a lower price!!! They feel super nice to slide on and make my sons bass feel much lighter and sound clearer!! They fit perfectly too!

Year after year of using these strings, these just perform better than no other! Great longevity and durability. Tone is incredible, bright, punchy, piano-y, just the way I like it. I tried NYXTs for a little while, but they weren't as bright and didn't sustain as well. Went back to NYXLs and I'm happy again!

初めて購入しました SADOWSKY METROに張っています。 古いロックに合うか‥ 本当ならフラットラウンド弦にいきたかったのですが、選曲的に全ては厳しいためこちらにしてみました。 音質的にはギラギラ感が抑えられていて、使いやすかったです。 張ってすぐな感じの音ではなく、そこそこ安定した音色だとも感じました。 ただ若干滑らかさがなく、そこが指ざわり的に気になりました。 パッケージから出した時のヨレヨレ感にもちょっと？っとなりましたが‥ 感触等は個人個人で違いますので参考程度に‥

Tra le corde in nickel migliori sul mercato, molto bilanciate come gamma sonora, più definite delle normali corde in nickel senza tuttavia perdere grossezza ma anzi guadagnando molta presenza sul range medio-alto, aiutando così il basso a bucare il mix; eccellenti con tutte le tecniche, sorprendenti in slap per definizione e capacità di bucare il mix grazie al range medio-alto di cui sopra ed all'eccellente contenuto armonico. La tensione è bassa senza mai risultare flaccida, molto piacevole, l'unico punto dolente è, purtroppo, la corda di LA di scalatura 80, che, vista la bassa tensione generale, risulta invece più flaccida delle altre corde e su bassi con radius 9.5" o addirittura inferiori sbatte in maniera eccessiva sulla tastiera: se non ci fosse questo problema che purtroppo pregiudica un po' la suonabilità generale (occorrerebbe alzare l'action rendendo così il tutto un po' più scomodo), sarebbero probabilmente le mie corde preferite, anche in virtù della loro lunghissima durata.

Nice balanced and bright sound. They do fit multiscale Stranberg Boden Bass...the regular long scale B string is too short, but this set is fine.

Sound is little metallic early on but some playing will blend all in. Nice to play, great versatile sound.
