Readings are way off. Not accurate

It's a mid price range device that works fairly well. Do not place it against the wall as it blocks the sensor vents.

After using it for 3 months, the screen got broken by itself. Numbers and symbols are no longer readable.

clearly this gadget is not a pro humidity equipment, but at the same type is a cheap option. If you want to have a sense of relative increase and decrease in humidity and temperature I really believe this one does a good job. The value to price ratio is high, so it is 5 stars to me.

The device is useless because the readings are way off, I have other devices which reads the same, only this one is off all the time.

Fácil de leer, lo compare con otros 2 termómetros y todos coinciden. Muestra temperatura y humedad actual y también mínimas y máximas. Se puede cbiar de C a F. No tolera caídas, no se debe almacenar en horizontal porque se atrofia la pantalla. Tiene un buen iman en la parte trasera además de una patita para mantenerlo parado.

I just purchased a new humidifier for our basement and it has a digital display that shows the RH on it. I wanted another monitor to put into the basement to check to see how well the humidifier was working over the entire basement and to monitor the room temperature. This AcuRite monitor worked perfectly for my application. The RH in the basement dropped to 45% and the AcuRite monitor dropped to 45% at the same time. The room temperature was 72 degrees F. I moved the monitor around the large basement and in addition I turned off the dehumidifier and the monitor reacted very quickly. The monitor when left in one place accurately agreed with the RH measurement on the dehumidifier. I liked several features on the monitor: • Nice big display for the RH • Also displays the current temperature in degrees F or degrees C. • It retains and displays the highest and lowest RH in the last 24 to 36 hours. • It retains and displays the highest and lowest temperature in the last 24 to 36 hours. • It is powered by one AA alkaline battery. A battery is not supplied. • There is a tilt bail on the back of the monitor that allows you to stand the monitor up on a table top or on a counter. • There is a magnet on the back of the monitor that allows you to hang the monitor onto a refrigerator. • There is a general purpose indicator that tells you whether the RH in the area is low, OK or high. I found the meter to be accurate in the RH measurement and in the temperature measurement. I could see that measurement responded quickly to changes in both temperature and RH. For the money it is a good monitor and I liked it and I rated it at 5 stars.

Having bought cheaper types to monitor the condensation issues in a 400 old house l found major differences in accuracy which defeated the purpose. This model was recommended on a website l was looking at so l bought it and quickly realised how good it was.Well worth the extra few quid.
