Safari Ltd. Postosuchus Figurine - Detailed 7.5" Prehistoric Figure - Educational Toy for Boys, Girls, and Kids Ages 3+

I had never heard of Postosuchus before, but I got it because the sculpt seemed very well done and had a lot of character. When I received it, I was glad to see the pose and sculpt was very nice just as I was hoping. The head is well done, with detailed teeth, and has an interesting, wiley expression that makes it look like it is hunting. The paint job is not as sophisticated as the Papo Allosaurus I also have, but it's quite good and looks realistic to me. The eyes gleam and look as if they might be some kind of tiny metal or glass beads, but if they aren't, they sure are precisely painted! The material is slightly flexible and seems very durable. For me, this purchase was a chance to let my kids learn about a dinosaur that doesn't seem to be one of the high-profile ones that everyone knows about.

This postosuchus is the best sculpted and detailed figure I have bought from the Safari line of prehistoric figures. It's better than the Schleich postosuchus. Postosuchus is not a dinosaur, but a relative of crocodiles. It is a genus of rauisuchid reptiles that lived in the late Triassic, about 237 to 201 million years ago. This Safari figure is a must have for your Mesozoic Era figures collection.

I bought the Safari Postosuchus because the first fossil of the Postosuchus alisonae was found in my hometown of Durham, NC. The figure is about 7 3/4 inches long and has good detail and paint scheme. The only negative is that paleontologist now think Postosuchus did not walk on all fours like the Safari version, but it was bipedal and walked on its two legs. Overall, it is good Postosuchus figure.

Although this is a small model/figure (see size description in listing), it is well made and nicely painted and will provide a lot of enjoyment. Ideal for a small-scale diorama of the era from which this creature originates. Formidable looking. Highly recommended for dinosaur collectors (even though this is NOT a dinosaur, btw.) A beautiful example of a top predator from the age of reptiles.

Very detailed for the small size. The plastic is nice and supple, but sturdy and not easily breakable. Perfect as a gift to a rauisuchian loving child, or paleontology enthused adult. I did take a star off for accuracy, as Postosuchus was actually predominantly bipedal, though.

I am a big Papo dinosaur collector because I think their detail is the best. Having said that, this Safari figure is just as good at half the price. Great detail, great color, great sculpt. I love it.

Let me start and say it os a really cool toy but i only gave it 4 stars because i thought it would be bigger. If you have ever been toy r us or target and seem the plastic molded toys there it is about the same size. Over all the toy is very detailed and colorful and my kids love playing with it. It strong and sturdy.

Me gustaron mucho los detalles de la pintura y texturas de la figurita. Es más ligero de lo que esperaba. Está muy bien balanceado (si lo paras, no se cae como otras figuras que tienen desnivel en las patas, por ejemplo). Me encantó y estoy satisfecho con la compra. Lo compré para probar algunas fotos de juguetes y me encantó el resultado. La pieza está muy bien detallada y no es cara (comparada con otros modelos/ marcas).

This model is amazing, the detail and paint job makes this one of Safaris best figures In my opinion. The only problem that I could see with this figure is size children might not enjoy a figure this small. But for collectors, it scales very well with other models and it looks great on my shelf only surpassed by my Papo allosaurus in detail this model Is definitely one you want to pick up

Es bonito el postosuchus. Está muy bien pintado y tiene buen nivel de detalles. Es cierto que si moviera la boca, ya sería genial, pero así también está bien. Me sorprendió que sea pequeñito, pero tampoco miré las medidas. Lo malo que le veo es el precio, lo veo un poco caro comparado con otros dinosaurios que están ahora vendiéndose.

If you enjoyed Walking With Dinosaurs as a kid, then this model is for you! The paint scheme and overall shape of this model just like the Postosuchus from episode 1! Apart from that, it looks really nice next to my Papo Allosaurus, and I can't wait for the Liopleurodon that I ordered to arrive!

Ich habe gerade erst angefangen Dinosaurier zu sammeln, daher kann ich keine si ausführliche Beschreibung machen wie manch anderer Sammler, aber ich denke ich liege bei der Aussage richtig, dass dies ein echt wunderschön bemalter Postosuchus ist, mit tollen Details, einer sehr realen Haltung, tolle Farben, uvm. Für den Preis ein toller Dino in angemessener Größe und sauberer Verarbeitung! Empfehlenswert!
