How do you release the blade for closing on the handmade pocket knife? Just received it yesterday and cannot close the blade. Gary Lander

hi its a split joint blade (non locking blade) You can easily close it by applying force / pressure with hand.

Is this damascus steel or not? Please make that clear.

No it's not. Damascus steel is dark and has 'waves' from the forging process; this is some type of stainless steel

What county was it made in

It was made in the UK. Shipped to me via The Royal mail. Bought a second for my son in law. Similar but not exact so definitely handmade
