I'm on the second pot now and there's a vast difference in taste. The first pot tasted gloriously citrusy you could almost eat it. The second pot has no flavour at all. I may risk buying a third but if that doesn't have flavour I'll probably try a different brand. As it's a powder there's obviously no foam, it's a beige colour so it can be scary thinking it will make your teeth turn beige, but it doesn't. It doesn't last any longer than a tube of toothpaste so at £16 a tub it's quite expensive and no doubt it would be much cheaper to make your own. There's a warning on the side about the risk associated with bentonite clay causing birth defects, so it's not recommended for pregnant ladies. The lid also has a label for you to write your name on top. Presumably everyone in the household needs their own pot so you aren't transferring bacteria from your toothbrush into the pot and sharing potential bad bugs? I liked the first purchase but not the second. Can't say whether it polishes my teeth or not, as it claims, as my teeth always look polished. If I had to choose between this and the chemicals stuffed into toothpaste I'd choose this powder every time. My hygienist intimated that we don't actually need toothpaste we can just brush with water; and my friend's dad brushed only with water and bicarb all of his life and died with all of his teeth in tip top condition.

I have been ordering this as a paste for over 10 years. I cannot stand the minty aftertaste leftover from toothpaste/mouthwash, and love love love the lemon, lime, & verbena flavour!! I also haven't used fluoride, glycerin, sugar, or SLS/foaming toothpastes in over a decade, and this is the only brand I can find that eliminates those ingredients / uses xylitol. Amazon doesn't seem to be selling the paste anymore so I thought I'd try this powder. I wasn't worried about the difference in texture as once a month I use pure baking soda. Although the texture might be difficult for some people, I actually like it even more than the paste. The paste was so heavy and would get stuck in the tube and I never could empty a tube before I had to buy a new one. With this powder, I know I'm getting the best value for my dollar, as I can use every little bit of it and not worry the last 10-15% is stuck in it's container. I don't regularly go to the dentist for financial reasons, but using this brand, along with flossing, tongue scraping and brushing, regular coconut oil pulls, and peroxide rinses, I have been able to keep my teeth and mouth very healthy. Have ordered consistently for 12 years and will continue to order. Highly recommend.

This toothpaste makes my teeth feel smooth and clean. It doesn't disturb my sensitive gums. It isn't as good at remineralizing as some other toothpastes that I have tried but the ingredients are much cleaner. I feel comfortable letting my three year old use this toothpaste.
