First, a little humor. How large is the cat? In my opinion any rough handling will cause damage. I have built three, one with the add on tanker, another with the rescue ladder. Don't rush the build, to make them run, it takes time. I will answer questions on the build that may be helpful, but I will ask your age an model experience.

UGEARS is really great. If you contact them, they will send you the rubber bands. Short of that, they can give you the size of the bands and you can pick them up locally.

Q: Will the tractor trailer work with the truck model?

The truck has a loop under it towards the rear which looks like a hitch. The trailer is now called the truck trailer, so I would say they work together.
