Q: What color does your hair have to be for the silver toner to work?

i would at least recommend you having it to 9-10 then tone your hair with a purple toner first before using this product to get the yellow tones out, or blue to get the orange out. otherwise you will end up with silver green hair

Q: Is this a direct dye or does this need to have a developer added to it?

This is a toner to bring level 9-10 hair to silver by toning. this will only last if you take care of it a month maybe 2, this is not in anyway shape or form a direct dye. You will have to have a creme developer with it, if you are level 10 then i would suggest a 10vol. direct dyes deposit color without a developer and can be added to any color you want to make the hair color you are putting on last longer. if you are looking for a direct dye i would suggest trying a kendra klenditioner or guy tangs direct dye line.

Q: Will this work on bleached beige blonde? Will it turn my hair grey?

no you will have to go to lift 9 or 10 otherwise your beige will end up as a green hair.

Q: How long does the color last?

I used it as a toner and one wash it needed to be toned again. ☹️
