how does the 7 point star badge attach? Also, I'm assuming the city of Eugene police badge is just an example and or it comes off?

Mine just clipped through it, the example badge wasn't on mine when I received it.

Does this work best with a flat or curved badge?

Both of the badges I am using are flat. They fit perfectly. The curved probably would work in they aren't at a extreme angle.

Will a maltese cross badge fit on it

I don't see why not as long as your badge isn't over 3 inches long in either direction, otherwise it might look goofy going over the edges. The holder is a simple flat leather circle with 2 tear drop holes on the top and bottom for your badge to loop and pin through.

Will this badge fit on a duty belt? Or just a regular small belt?
