These are wonderful teaching tools for young kids. You do need to explain what they mean, but once you do, the kids can constantly review at their own pace, while they are waiting for their food, or after they are finished eating. My grandson loved the numbers and the money mats. Without being taught in any other way, he learned to count to 1000 before he started Kindergarten. He knew what the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, greater and less than symbols meant. He also learned about money: how many half dollars, quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies were in one dollar. Now that he is in Kindergarten, the concepts of fractions and percent come easy to him. Maybe he's exceptionally talented in Math, but these placemats gave him a good start. They are also high quality, non-slip, attractive and easy to clean. Well worth the price!

Overall, these are excellent. Easy to clean and the kids are really enjoying the colorful presentation while learning useful info. The foam backing makes the mats slip resistant, but not stuck to the table. The mats are large enough to accommodate an average size plate, place setting, and drink.

Fun little mats for the kids at the dinner table, they are easy to clean and the foam on the back has been holding up fine. I like that this pack came with 5 different options. They are very colorful and easy to read.

They are very bright vibrant. Thickness is pretty good. In the back foam is exposed so try not to get that wet. And it did bubble when a plate was too hot. But get what you pay for. Overall good buy. Thanks.

These placemats are colorful, well-made and offer plenty of pictures and interesting facts. They are thick and sturdy and clean up nicely. My granddaughter is enjoying them and learning useful information. They could easily be used for other things besides meal time. For example, the placemat with the coins could be used with manipulatives for introducing a unit on money. Definitely a good addition to my household.
