I suffered a multiple insect attack on my leg after grass cutting which resulted in a large area of very itchy rash; it was getting worse and worse and washing the area was not working. I received the calendula gel overnight and applied it that morning. After 3 or 4 applications during the day, the rash visibly began to diminish until evening. By the next day, after an overnight application, the rash and itchiness was definitely less intense and is dying down. The gel itself contains alcohol, which is immediately soothing when applied to the irritated area, making it feel cool and without itchiness. The gel holds the dilute calendula against the inflamed area and keeps the application there even when it has dried, until you wash it off.
