水槽の水替えの肝は、底に沈んだ餌や糞（フン）だと思います。親指で押すポンプも軽く、サイフォン効果で水が流れ出すと、これでもかと言うくらいそこの汚い物が吸い上がって来ます。魚が入ったままでも掃除できますし、特にこれからの寒い季節にはなくてなならない優秀な製品です。バケツに汚水をためる場合は､ホースが固定できるクリップが付いてますがこれまた勘どころをついています。水槽の近くにドアや縁側の窓がある場合は、この製品の排水側のホースに先にさらにホースを繋ぐとバケツのお世話にならないで汚水を外に流せます。繋ぐホースはごく一般的な普通のホース（内径15ミリ）が繋げられるように、アダプタまで付いています。文句をつけるところがないくらい、完成された製品に感じました。さすが日本のメーカーの面目躍如です。透明な給水側のパイプも中が良く見え小魚などがいる場合も安全です。欲を言えば2段の水槽台の下の水槽では、排水との高低差がほとんど取れないので、別売りで電動ポンプなどあれば申し分ありませんが、無い物ねだりでしょう。とにかく素晴らしいの一言に尽きます。
