Q: how big is the pocketbook? is it too big for a one year old?

Hi Melissa! The purse is 6” long x 6” to top of purse (7” to top of handle) x 1.5” deep...I guess it depends on the size of the one year old!

The company is headquartered back east but, I believe this item was manufactured in china.

Thank you for your inquiry. I did not know there was a personalized option. We are phasing out our Meilissa & Doug stock.

Q: how can this be cleaned? Is there any part that can be washed in a washing machine?

I guess you could clean in a sink. I would not recommend a washing machine for any of the parts. The one I have for grandkids never needed cleaning since they won’t play with it. It is too hard to get things in and out and the handle is too tight.
