When I attached my dslr to the plate and mounted on the head, there's no room for the tightening mechanism to turn, it is loose,what should I do next?

The plate locking lever with a a ratchet style screw is spring-loaded, pull it toward you, reposition the lever back half a turn and continue tightening with a few ratchet turns.

how is the panning and tilting on this Tripod? is it fluid and smooth?

Is it a $500 Manfrotto Nitrotech N8 - Absolutely not. Is it an outstanding "Fluid Like" head at this price point? Absolutely. I primarily use it for Video with a Canon 80D. I also use it for some Astrophotography. I do not believe you will not find a better head tripod combo for under $300. Photographers will not like the fact that you can turn it vertical, otherwise - Outstanding!

Is there a Dolly which will work with this?

I use the Ravelli dolly with this tripod.
