Comfortable is a state of well being applied to an animate object. This is a network switch, so it cannot fell either comfortable or uncomfortable.

Can you control the poe per port? or is it automatic?

The PoE per port is controlled automatically, but under the NETGEAR specifications for this Switch they indicate the following PoE power budget: 53W max. for all PoE ports (1-4); 15.4W max. per PoE port. That means that every individual PoE port will provide the watts demanded by the specific end device connected to the Switch, up to a maximum of 15.4 wats. If you have a device that consumes a higher power, you need to choose another appropriated Switch model that supply the power demanded.

I don't have any Poe apps is its a good deal?

POE is Power over ethernet. It isnt for Apps, it is for hardware that requires power. By running a POE switch, you can power cameras, phones etc just by running an ethernet cable and not having to worry about a power cable, transformer, etc. Even if you dont currently have any POE hardware, it is a good idea to get one of these -- if you need a switch and you will end up future proofing your setup.

Will this power 24v POE devices?

This is a standard 802.3af PoE switch. As such it delivers ~48v at a max of 15.4W per powered port up to 45w total between all 4 powered ports. It sounds like it would not meet your needs unless the manufacture of your device has a 802.3af adapter, like Ubiquity for example. They have an adapter that goes between a standard 802.3af switch and their proprietary 24v PoE wireless access point. Hope this helps!
