I picked up this lens a few weeks ago, and I’m blown away by how much quality you get for such a compact, affordable piece of gear. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and works beautifully with my Canon mirrorless camera. For true sharpness of the lens, shoot at f/2.8-4. Autofocus is quick and accurate, though you can hear a faint noise if you’re recording video. Lovely lens. I’ve got a number of lenses for my camera including a couple of L series and I still prefer this one. Lovely sharp photos, nice back ground blur when wanted. For the price of it compared to others I have its value for money. Must have in the collection.

This is a fantastic lens. When used with a full frame camera (I use the R6 MkII) it's easily the most versatile and capable prime lens you can get for anywhere near this price range. I think this is a perfect starting point for any newbie, and is also perfect for honing skulls further if you're an enthusiast. It helps you to focus on composition and the use of the aperture to get different effects. It's very light, but still robust enough to easily sit in a bag and get swapped out regularly. The focus mechanism does create a bit of noise, but I've never found it too distracting. It may need consideration if you're using it as a film lense. But build quality is excellent and it's easily the best looking of canon's 50mm lenses of the past. You can't go wrong with it, give it a go!

All photographers should have a nifty fifty for those portrait/street photographer needs. They are light, don't take up much room and are very fast with a 1.8 aperture. However, please don't expect professional quality and remember that these are very cheap lenses so the quality is not as sharp as the RF50mm 1.2 USM. But the latter lens is £2k more expensive, so unless you really need the extra quality, then the RF50mm 1.8 STM is an absolute bargain.

I bought this as an addition to the two zoom lenses I got with my Canon EOS R10, and it's made the other lenses pretty much redundant. The quality is far superior and noticeable straight away. It focuses quickly, the images are sharp, and being a prime lens, is more compact, too. I've had no regrets with this at all. The only thing to be aware of is that when used with a cropped sensor camera, it has a fair amount of zoom, so sometimes requires stepping away from the subject more than you'd expect. If you have a full-frame sensor, definitely purchase.

This RF 50 mm F1.8 lens known as low cost good value lens has worked as expected. High quality product for sharp images. It is very compact and light weight. Good for standard view angle shooting. Offers shallow focus depth and background blur for closer objects. Good for portraits and lower light conditions, however note that it does not have image stabiliser, and shorter exposure times needed for hand held photos. I use this lens with a hood bought separately.

Shockingly, it is one of the best items I ever bought. Although influencers on the social media always praise this lens, it really surprised me. The potential you get of basically just using this lens is crazy. It offers an amazing 1.8 aperture which performs incredibly good even at low light scenarios. Even the build material that is used just feels reliable and sturdy that just make you feel safe when having the lens attached or even detached I consider this product as PERFECT in price, performance, size, weight, and build material. If you want to upgrade your photography level this is a big jump despite the low price compared to the performance, I heavily recommend this lens.

Lense I use for my Canon R10. I was using 18-150mm but when I buy this lense, the experience became 1000% different. Very sharp photos can be taken under low light. Light weight. Amazing product and recommend anyone who love taking portraits.
