I had the cheaper models that keep giving varying readings every time I measure the length. Finally a quality vernier caliper that is awesome. Highly recommend. Thanks.😊

These are genuine mitutoyo calipers, there's not really much more to say about them. They work perfectly, they measure perfectly, the battery lasts forever and the absolute measurement means you never need to zero the calipers. Yes, these are expensive, significantly more expensive than the 150mm version but that extra 50mm over a 'standard' caliper makes a big difference - many times I've maxed out a standard caliper, the 200mm range is well worth having. Whilst cheap digital calipers are generally very good, they can be a bit hit and miss. Measurements with cheap calipers are typically very good, but they don't always run smoothly or can have points where the measurement skips, the steel isn't as hard as quality calipers and the grind of the faces isn't as good. The Mitutoyos of course exhibit none of these issues, they are incredibly smooth across the entire range, the steel is exceptional and the grinding is perfect. It doesn't matter how fast you open/close the calipers, it will never miss a step, and zero is always exactly zero. This model is not coolant proof, so not good for machinists, but they are perfect for engineers working at a desk or clean environment. Mitutoyo do of course have the coolant proof/waterproof version for use in a machine shop.

I got a fake one yesterday and returned it today. Here is what i noticed on my caliper: - Orange sleeve (Looked real, don't know) - Plasic box (Defenetly Real) - Battery (Defenetly Real) - Yellow tab (Real) - Documentation (Real) - Plasic bag (Looked real, 2 sided sealed, correct plasic) - Caliper (Defently FAKE - Battery did not fit and just 1 big contact - Text on batterycover not sharp - ORIGIN button flush with housing, difficult to push - Lock-knob could be screwed all the way out easy - Back label was glosy with dificult to read text - Serialnumber of caliper did not match the testreport - Depthgauge had long indentatioon, shoud be short-round - Fixed fork had sharp angle, should have shalow rounding - On battery placing there was no testing sequence before mesurement. Just emediatly mesurement after battery placement - Very poorly finished groove on back. I know i forgot some things but you get the picture. They just put a fake caliper in a bag and sealed it and put it in original packaging. Ask for pictures of theese points before buying and CHECK EVERYTHING !!!! It could just be one in a batch but know what you buy.

Fake. Those of you who know how to spot a fake will see it.

Podria funcionar mejor? Es muy dificil. Tomas una medida y la tomas un montón de veces más y siempre da la misma medida.
