what is the diameter of the pots? height? handle length?

Each pot is 8 1/2" diameter measured from the outside. Each pot is 3 1/2" deep. Each pot has handles that are 7 1/4" long. Hope this info. is helpful in making your decision . This is a great set, good quality and at a really attractive price. Chuck

from instruction manual: " Always use hot pads or insulated kitchen gloves when removing cookware from the oven. This cookware is recommended for use in oven temperatures up to 350F. DO NOT use this cookware under a broiler." I only use as a steamer for vegetables.

Does the double boiler have a flat bottom?

Yes. The bottom is flat, not bowl like.

Does the double boiler have a rim or lip inside the pot? I want something I don’t have to pull the filling out of while trying to cook

I’m not sure if you know what a double boiler is for. But no no rim or lip, you remove the top pan once the pudding, filling or whatever needed to be cooked by steam while constantly or semi-consistently stirring the filling. I have a separate pot for steaming vegetables/rice
