I don't understand the negative reviews of some welding with it and instantly getting burned by sparks. Not sure if these are from inexperienced welders and they're welding way too hot or what. I've built a firewood cart and finished up a small dump trailer while wearing this shirt, probably 30-45 min of total weld time, not one burn mark on it. I have welded many times in a short sleave shirt, yeah the sparks sting a little for a couple of seconds but my goodness, I didn't run around telling everybody I got an "ouchie". I mainly purchased this shirt to properly protect my arms from the UV coming off the weld. It was very dumb of me to ever weld in a short sleave shirt (one time in a wife beater, I didn't make that mistake twice). Every welding shirt I've had (expensive ones included), if a big enough spark lands in a fold or otherwise where it can't fall off, it's going to burn a hole through it, period. That is no reason to claim they aren't flame/fire retardant. These are FLAME/FIRE RETARDANT shirts, simply means they are difficult to set on fire. The other complaint I don't understand it about the shirts being too long or too big, they're welding shirts, they're supposed to be that way. I wear XL and ordered XL and it fit like I expected it too. Sleaves plenty long, shirt long and loose fit. I leave it on a hanger in the office of my shop and put it on over whatever shirt I'm wearing when I weld. Button down pockets are a must and these are great. When grinding or cutting I would have to put on my leather apron to keep from wearing out the front of the thighs on my jeans. This shirt is long enough to keep the sparks off my jeans. I wish this shirt had a sleeve pocket for marking tools, that is my only complaint. So, if you're new to welding, give this shirt a try. It will burn through in the right circumstances but that's welding for you.

My shirt did not come with a FR patch on the left arm as the product description says. I'm 185 and 6"1" and I bought my normal size, large. These shirts fit more like an XL or XXL around the waist and chest, and the sleeves are a tad short. I guess that is how they are designed to be, to not restrict movement when welding. But a large size shirt with a 51" chest is waaaay too loose fitting. Even before when I was like 240-250 lbs. this size large would be loose on me. The material is quit stiff and starchy. Not a lot of softness as the description says. I just washed my shirt and these shirts also wrinkle like crazy and the collar curls up which is annoying to deal with. There is pretty much no shrinkage after a warm wash with medium heat drying. Was kind of hoping the shirt would shrink a little. I did buy a medium 8.5oz heavyweight welding shirt (the ones that come with an optional button-on hood.) The fabric on those are A LOT softer. The sleeves are definitely too short on the 8.5oz heavyweight version of these shirts. They do not offer a medium tall option which I think would fit me perfectly. Besides all that, the pattern and colors are really nice. The Plaid Red/Black looks really sharp. I will try out the lightweight 6.25oz version of these shirts. Overall, the quality is what you expect from an inexpensive FR shirt from Amazon. Ariat and Carhartt charge way too much for their FR clothing. BOCOMAL made sense to me because when welding, I don't want to potentially put burn holes in a $120 shirt.

Great weight! Great price! Fits true to size. Perfect for medium to lightweight wear. It does have a rather silly logo patch embroidered right in the middle of the buttons on the front. I took mine off. Otherwise great shirt!

My husband is a welder and bought these to try as a cheaper alternative to the name brands. He loves these shirts. They hold up well and he gets minimal burns from welding. He first went with the khaki and gray. They were thicker material and fit perfectly. Then he tried the navy and ash gray and they were thinner material and bigger. He went back to the khaki and it was better quality.

I ordered 2 of these shirts a couple of weeks back because my other welding shirts were completely done. I really liked them, they were the blue ones, the fit was perfect, they arent to heavy, have a nice cut to them. That being said I was so satisfied I went and bought 2 more these were the gold flannel ones...... holy crap was it someone's first day on the job?? These fit like garbage, same size, same material... they are baggy and boxy, its just a large and im 6 foot 215 and it feels huge on me. Welders dont need baggy shirts, they get snagged, and ripped, and burned up, its actually a safety issue. These shirts are somehow like 3 inches longer than the original, I feel like an idiot. Im gonna use them because I cant wait another week or so and cross my fingers that the next ones will be good, I have to use them for work. Buyer beware, you dont know what youre gonna get when it comes to size. Baggy shirts in construction, especially working around moving parts is never a good idea.

Super recomendable, soy soldador y he usado decenas de yompas y ninguna se iguala a esta es super resistente a las chispas no como las de mezclilla, me han caído chispas de soldadura y de esperilado y hasta ahora no tiene ningun agujero una yompa normal ya estaría totalmente agujerada, ojo no digo que no entren si la pasan pero no dejaningun agujero

I bought on a discount. For that price it was very good. But the size is suited to strong built guys. It was very loose from the arms for me. I had to get it altered.
