Review: The most accurate strips I have used (and I’ve tried a lot!!) - Having wasted my time with swimming pool branded test strips, this are amazing! They are very accurate and even more accurate than the Jed chemical kit I have! Highly recommend! Review: Seems to give inaccurate chlorine readings. - I have lost confidence in these strips. They were constantly reading very high chlorine levels which dictated how much chlorine I added to the pool but I was having recurring algae problems. I eventually bought a test that uses tablets to get a reading and that test said the chlorine levels were very low, which makes more sense. Hopefully my algae problems are now over. ## Features - 7-IN-1 TEST STRIPS: Tests the most critical parameters: pH, Total Chlorine, Free Chlorine, Bromine, Alkalinity, Total Hardness, & Cyanuric Acid - AQUACHEK ACCURACY: Using medical industry technology, our test strips offer comparable accuracy to liquid tests; No measuring & counting drops of reagent, leaving less room for error - EASY TO USE: No more messy drops; Just dip the silver strip, remove it, wait 15 seconds, & compare with the color chart on the bottle; Test water at least twice a week for safe & balanced water - SAFE & CLEAN WATER: Each color pad is designed with unique paper to optimize color vibrancy & mitigate color-bleeding to help maintain healthy water chemistry - TRUSTED QUALITY: With over 35 years in the business, our products will help professionals maintain healthy pool and spa water chemistry ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0083SMU7C | | Brand | AquaChek | | Brand Name | AquaChek | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 11,154 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00090944012368 | | Included Components | 551236 | | Item Weight | 0.1 Ounces | | Manufacturer | AquaChek | | Material Type | Paper | | Model Number | 551236 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 551236 | | Recommended Uses For Product | swimming pool | | Recommended uses for product | swimming pool | | Sterility Rating | pH 7-8 (slightly basic) | | UPC | 043931198026 090944012368 | | Unit Count | 100 Count | | Unit count | 100 Count | | pH range | pH 7-8 (slightly basic) | ## Product Details - **Brand:** AquaChek - **Manufacturer:** AquaChek - **Recommended uses for product:** swimming pool - **Unit count:** 100 Count - **pH range:** pH 7-8 (slightly basic) ## Images ![AquaChek 7-Way Pool and Spa Test Strips - Silver Pool Test Strips For pH, Total Chlorine, Free Chlorine, Bromine, Alkalinity, Total Hardness, and Cyanuric Acid - Water Quality Testing Kit (100 Strips) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61YJtoaqpgL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What ranges and optimum levels does it show for Free Chlorine, Total Chlorine, Bromine, Total Hardness, Total Alkalinity, pH and Cyanuric Acid?** A: Total Hardness 0-1000 ppm (250-500 OK), Total Chlorine 0-10 ppm (1-5 OK 5 Ideal), Total Bromine 0-20 ppm (2-10 OK 5 Ideal), Free Chlorine 0-20 ppm (1-3 Pool OK, 3-5 Spa OK), pH 6.2-8.4 (7.2-7.8 OK), Total Alkalinity 0-240 ppm (80-120 OK), Cyanuric Acid 0-300 ppm (30-100 OK 30-50 Ideal) **Q: Do you have a site where I can check my results to see how much/what kind of chemicals to add?** A: Trouble Free Pool .Com Download the app.., **Q: Why do these aquacheck 7 in 1 test strips not come in a sealed container?** A: It makes it easier to resell returned bottles in my opinion. My bottle arrived yesterday. I also found it odd that the bottle was not sealed unlike other brands 1/2 the price all sealed with expire dates clearly marked. The Aqua brand bottle did have the absorption thingie inside along with 2 strips clearly used previously, which was discovered as I counted to see if I had 100 strips - sure enough 87 + 2 used strips. This brand appears to be the most expensive on the market. I paid $23.38 ($21.99 + 1.39 tax) so that is $0.23 per strip! Pretty pricey, especially when shorted and defective strips. Additionally, I used two strips to compare and double check results with readings from my Taylor K2006 test kit. Results on 3-tests weren’t even close. Some of the Aqua tests bleed and get distorted. OK, I may sound negative and nit-picky, which I am not. 99% of the time I do positive reviews - - but need to add one last complaint, why would the seller carelessly put a sticker (SKU label) right over the directions? Makes me question the authentication of the product or some cheap China knock-off, just saying. Needless to say I am sending this bottle back and will continue using my Taylor test kit. **Q: Can you use these for a salt waterpool??** A: Not to my knowledge in a true salt pool, only in a SWG pool. They provide great reading for everything other than salt in your pool. Funny, that you asked since I'm converting to a SWG in Spring 2015 and was wondering the same thing myself. Personally, a SWG is the same as a Chlorine chemical additive pool, just does it different, so readings should be the same using these. Only thing missing is Salt Content which I plan on using a separate test for. It covers all the areas beside lets us see the CYA level, Cyanuric Acid - Conditioner, or Stabilizer, is since... SWG pools generate only chlorine. Hope this helped. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The most accurate strips I have used (and I’ve tried a lot!!) *by D***E on 20 August 2021* Having wasted my time with swimming pool branded test strips, this are amazing!
