ZYMOX Pet Ear Treatment with Hydrocorti (HYDROCORTISONE 0.5%)

After using a lot of medicine, my dog's ears are still very itchy, bought this on the recommendation of a friend, and the ears are healed in a few days

My very floppy eared beagle flipped over her ear and to my horror it was torn up; red, swollen & very irritated. She obviously had an infection and had been scratching at it. I felt terrible I didn’t notice it sooner. I bought the zymox otic because it’s a cleaner and treatment all in one and has hydrocortisone which I knew she needed badly to bring down the swelling from scratching at it. The medicine is a clear watery gel, something I wasn’t expecting. I thought it would just be liquid. The gel works great though because it suspends in place so you can really get to every little fold and crevice inside the dogs ear. I started with the outside of the ear cleaning as I went with cotton balls. Once I had all the little pieces of scab cleaned up I went for the ear canal. It says to fill the ear canal with medicine and then wipe away. I filled it and then massaged the ear to make sure it went deep enough. I then tilted the dogs head the other direction and let it drain out and wipe wipe wipe. The next morning was a big difference!! It was looking a lot better. I was still nervous though what if it didn’t work. When we woke up the 3rd morning I checked her ear and it looked so good I had to do a double take to make sure I had the right ear. I can’t recommend this medicine enough. We are continuing treat. It says 7-14 days but looking at these results I think a week will be plenty. I just wanted to leave this review to help other dog and cat parents. This medicine treats fungal and bacterial infections using 3 types of enzymes so you are good to go using this either way. I highly recommend! Worth every penny! Update* after reading some of the 1 star reviews I just wanted to add that it is always best to have your animal evaluated by a veterinarian. Some animals may need an antibiotics to treat an ear infection and this treatment may not be enough. Also if you see that your animal is suffering from any adverse reactions it is best to stop the medicine and have them evaluated medically immediately. Just like with humans, some medicines can have side effects that can be severe. Not all medicines work for everybody or everything 100% of the time. People and animals alike can be allergic to certain ingredients. It is best to closely monitor your animal whenever they are taking a new medication whether prescribed by a vet or bought over the counter and even when it’s something as simple as a topical medication. This medication worked great for my pet but I do check my dogs ears weekly because she’s a floppy eared breed. More than likely I caught the infection very early when she was symptomatic for only a couple of days. This may have contributed to how successful the results were for my dog. On day 4 now and all symptoms are gone, however I will continue to monitor the ear for up to 4 weeks to make sure the infection doesn’t reoccur. I’m very sorry to the pet owners who had adverse reactions to this medicine and that you didn’t share the same experience myself and many others had with this efficacy of how well this product worked. Your reviews are the reason that I felt it necessary to remind people that medical intervention first is always best.

Works as well as the ear medicine from the vet.

It works miraculously .. my fur-baby is 12 years old and he was suffering from inflamatory and painful ear conditions with yellowish discharge sometimes for over almost six months. I consulted many vets and they only used to prescribe antibiotics which I did not like .. the effect of Zymox is just amazing .. his ear condition improved since the first day of use only and I am posting this review after an use of over 3 months ... I am totally impressed and Zymox is indeed a saviour...

Tired so many ear fungal infection medicine made in India, but nothing seems to work. Finally after some google search what exactly the problem is, I figure out that the infection was "yeast infection" and this is the only medicine I found for the solution with good rating. It really work after using 4-5 days...

This ear ointment is the best! Works extremely well on my dogs and almost immediately. Great product! Hopefully you restock soon.
