This hose is great! I bought one last year and honestly thought I bought the wrong style end, but I didn’t. This hose was easy to get out of the box and hook up right to my propane heaters and 5lb propane tanks. It also came with the “sealing” tape, but I haven’t had the use it since everything fit together greatly. I like that the cost for this 5’ hose was more affordable than at other stores. I feel like this hose will hold up for years to come and that I will be recommending this hose to others.

Works as it should

This works just as it should. I bought this to use with a propane torch to preheat metal pieces for welding. Some customer reviews reported problems with leaks. I noticed that that mine, at first, did not screw all the way into the torch very easily. The reason for this is that mine arrived with several of the brass threads dented on the appliance end of the hose, which kept it from threading in all the way. As a result, it leaked. It was not difficult to clean up the dents in the threads with a 60° triangle file, after which it threaded in easily and completely and sealed perfectly. Most propane fittings are shipped with thread protection to keep the threads from getting damaged (even the blue bottles, which have steel threads.) So one star off that it arrived damaged, but it was an easy enough fix and it works for its intended purpose. BTW, it is supplied with Teflon tape. I have absolutely no idea why, because NO PROPANE FITTINGS REQUIRE TEFLON TAPE (except NPT, and pipe dope is recommended for that)! Certainly not the Type 1 ACME fittings on the tank, and not the 1"-20 fittings on the appliance end (it seals with an O-ring and a flat NBR washer.) It's nice to get a free roll of Teflon tape, but it has NOTHING to do with this propane hose!
