Review: Beautiful Craftsmanship & Functionality - I spent a few days researching Padfolios and each time could not find one that hit every one of my requirements. I am a fan of the natural leather look, especially as they wear in. At the time there were limited reviews of this item, but after comparing to all the others on my list, this offered the most features, design, and quality for the price and I am glad that I did. The internal pen loop on mine was larter than I anticipated based on other reviews. I was able to easily insert a Lamy Al-Star pen which is held tightly even though the listing images only show a thin pencil. It's possible that each is made differently or the manufacturer has increased the loop's capacity size since other reviews were posted. My padfolio arrived well packaged and in a dust cover I can reuse for other purposes, nothing fancy but a nice touch. There were no obvious design flaws, no spots of poor leather and overall I am very pleased. In its first hour of use I got at least 2 compliments. The one tiny flaw I found was that the button pouch is not wide enough to fit a standard letter sized piece of paper without bending the page when the clasp is secured. This is not a huge deal for me as I expected the pouch to hold folded papers and other miscellaneous things, but with no other compartment or flap for storing loose pages, it could be a deal breaker for some.
Review: Very thin leather - Looks ok, but seems overpriced for what you get. The leather is very thin, I have concerns about how long this will stand up to everyday use.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: could I put a wire bound note book it in?   or only a pad of paper....**
A: The issue is the opening for the pad. It is in the top so to secure, only a pad of paper would slide in. Now I have seen spiral bound pads with a back that would slide down into the slot but unsure where those were from.

**Q: Are these made on the USA?**
A: Nope these Leather portfolios are handmade by Indian artisans in INDIA.

**Q: Will a galaxy A7 tab fit in here?**
A: Probably not, I find it difficult to add anything but a legal size paper pad.

**Q: I think that I am getting the idea and understand thick and hard but, what is "hardbound"?**
A: Imagine the difference between a softcover and hardcover book.  Hardbound here means the left and right sides are stiff, rather than floppy.  They have a stiff board with cloth sewn to cover the inside.
