## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can it cut through fabric?**
A: Haven’t tried anything except foam board but it’s an thin exacto blade. I believe it would cut fabric as long as you can keep the fabric in place.

**Q: Will this cut 1/8 inch and 3/32 inch bass wood and balsa wood sheets? (Model rocketry parts)**
A: I did a little checking around the cyber world and did not find any definite solution to your question. I did however find information on how to cut balsa wood with an exacto knife. The blade for this circle cutter does not have a very large cutting surface, only 1/8" at a 45° angle. I noticed that the blades that are used in the demos are mostly #11 exacto blades which have a larger cutting surface. With this said, I would first have plenty of replacement blades on hand and some fine sand paper ready. Start by finding the center of your circle and make a small hole all the way through the piece of balsa wood. Follow the instructions for cutting your circle but only cut through half of the wood. I would rotate the handle relatively slowly. Turn the piece over and repeat the cut making sure you only cut half way through. I would use this method for both the 1/8" and 3/32" thick pieces of balsa wood. I would try it myself just to see if in fact it will work but I don't have any balsa wood on hand. Good luck, and I hope this helps.

**Q: Will it Cut holes in soft foam ?**
A: It depends on what you mean by soft foam. It works on foamcore, and would probably work on thin closed cell polyurethane foam. Be sure the cutting blade is scalpel sharp.

**Q: Will this cut charcoal foam? A soft type of foam**
A: I would say yes as long as it an quarter of an inch otherwise if thicker u would have to scour the outlines from the back side. Yes if it's the consistency of foam board.
