It comes shipped in the mode that most people would probably want (to toggle a light or appliance ON and then to push the button again to turn the light or appliance OFF.Since my garage door opener receiver board went bad, I just needed something to electrically push the wired garage door button on the wall for me. This little unit (once reprogrammed) works fantastic!What I liked:- The receiver did exactly what I wanted it to do (momentarily close the contacts on the garage door pushbutton switch on the wall).-The unit even worked great with a 9V battery (used that to make sure I knew how to program it) but I then connected an inexpensive 120VAC to 12VDC adapter I got from Amazon for $4 to power the unit- I was going to uncoil the antenna wire inside the receiver (for a greater distance) but before doing that, I walked 120+ feet away from the garage door and pushed the button and it worked great!What could have been a little better:- The instructions are somewhat unclear when you are reprogramming the unit for MOMENTARY mode, but after I read it numerous times and memorized what I had to do, since you only have a short time to continue programming, everything worked OK. The trick was holding the button on the transmitter down (on the last step) UNTIL you hear the relay click.OVERALL: I like the unit and it saved me from buying a door opener receiver circuit card ($100) or a new garage door opener ($150+). If your garage door opener works by pushing the wired button on the wall, but doesn't work remotely due to a bad internal circuit card, this is a great inexpensive fix. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works good. *by T***M on March 2, 2025* Very small, but works good. Doesn't lag on like other remotes do. Doesn't hesitate when you push either button either. Would buy again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what was needed! *by F***N on October 11, 2022* This is a 2 channel remote meaning you can control two different projects at the same time. I only use 1 channel to turn on/off my Renogy DC to DC charger for my motorhome when on the road. It is about 35' from the drivers seat to the battery control box and it has no issue with the range. The instruction are a bit confusing (or I am dumb as a box of rocks), but did figure it out. DOWNSIDE - The container is a bit small and wiring can get pinched when making wiring connections so I mounted the guts in a larger plastic container in the battery bay.Why did I use the remote vs directly connecting the DC to DC charger to the ACC...would have been difficult to do so, so using the remove bypassed the ACC.
