It’s just brightens the gray you have and it doesn’t do that very well. On scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best . I am giving it a 4. I have been using it weekly for about 2 months and saw no significant change. Had better results with peroxide and baking soda mixture that I created. Wish there was a pure whitening dye for men but I haven’t found it yet . **Q: Caucasian or Ethnic, Really, these are the same color right?** A: I would not recommend this hair dye for a black person or a person of color because I use the product and it turned my Gray beard purple. **Q: Does whatever it does last, or does it need to be used every day?** A: Contrary to directions (once every two or three days) I use it every day. **Q: what is the difference between the Caucasian formula and the Ethnic formula?** A: There is know difference the formula is the same. It isn't a bleach. It won't make your beard white. What is does do is what any purple color will do; it will block yellow. It's simple color science. I am giving it five stars because it blocks the yellow AND it is a great conditioner. My beard looks whiter (until you wash the product out). I will complain that the company has a disturbing marketing plan that segregates caucasians from African Americans by marketing two products. The product for the blacks is exactly the same as the product for the whites. I know this because Amazon sent me both products.
