This tape has good grip, and stays in place

Depending on your needs, this might be better than the clear, thin, unmanageable crap; but it is not paper (unless you consider plastic-coated paper to be paper!) The roll is too big to fit decently into a standard tape dispenser, so the first couple of yards pulled off the dispenser require quite a tug. As stated by some other reviewers, the tape really doesn't stick well to commercial boxes. I found that I had to pull enough tape to go entirely around the box such that the tape could stick to itself. Even then, I had a couple of instances where the edges curled up... not even wanting to stay stuck on itself. When first applied, the tape appeared to stick fine. It would unstick after a few hours of being staged for delivery. For normal packaging, I don't recommend this product. It may have other uses, but I'm not even sure about that. Maybe if you glue the tape? Sorry, that was snarky. -- update 7/29/25 -- I threw out all the remaining rolls. I could not keep the previous rating in good consciousness. It probably should be a zero since I wasn't able to find a useful purpose for this tape after trying to accommodate all of its shortcomings. The one package I used it on evidently made it to the recipient (or at least he didn't complain about a missing package), but I'm not willing to try another.

Excellent stickiness and pretty good tear resistance.

Low quality, poor value for money, thin, poorly designed reinforced tape. We were moving out and needed to box up various items, and this tape let us down and frequently came loose on items that weighed 10lbs within boxes. Save your money and this bad design.

Purchase transaction was flawless. The tape is reinforced and self gummed so no problem with needing water to activate. It doesn't stick horribly well over time. It seems to be stuck really well and I use a flat item to impress pressure over the tape no matter what I'm taping. I've come back a day or two later and found some peeled away from the box on 2 or 3 occasions. I've started putting a small piece of packing tape over the edge just so it doesn't peel back. Probably wouldn't purchase again.

This tape works better than clear box tape. It is strong. The problems that I have with clear box tape are (1) it can get wrinkled and (2) if it gets stuck to the roll before you catch it, you can never find the end. This tape is strong, sturdy, and sticks well. Good for large boxes and you don't have a fight to find the end. The only thing - you need to use scissors to cut it. But the quality of this tape out weighs that tiny inconvenience.

This is THE BEST packing tape for mailing something that I have ever used!! LOVE IT! Excellent grip/adhesion!

The tape is not 3” is actually 2” 3/4” but the quality of the tape is good. The only complaint I have is that you if you gonna sale a 3” tape make it 3” thank you.
