Scented with refreshing, pure Lavender essential oil or a relaxing blend of Vanilla Extract and Spearmint essential oil. Unscented option contains no added scents. very good for the money, however unfortunately i did not take heed as one of the reviews mentioned their afro hair was tangled. When I used it for the first time i tried it on a small section; my hair felt stripped and immediately tangled. I have lightly curly white hair. The shampoo tends to allow the curls to show themselves more than most. Hair feels softer. I use it with a dab of the conditioner before a final rinse. I like it very much. Kat
