How does this compare to Koppes? Do you have to dissasemble for it to really work, or can I put a drop in the pivot point?

I.m.o. this is the best . And no you don't have to take anything apart... It's formulate.. to work around your knife pivot point . One or two drop each side. And you are good to go....

How many ml is the bottle?

Can this be used on firearms? i've used it to oil my s&w handgun a couple times already besides my knives. would it have any adverse affect?

Hi there - yes KPL can be used on firearms and will not have any negative effects. KPL is a fabulous lubricant and wear preventive. Please note that, like any oil, KPL may darken unstabilized woods. Also, KPL is fairly viscous (thick) and therefore not appropriate for use inside the barrel of your firearm.

Is this different from the oil you use on the blade to prevent rust? Or can this be used for that purpose as well?

Mineral oil; very cheap, works great for sharpening use with a ceramic stone, an Arkansas stone or a diamond stone and is food safe and unless you're opening and closing your folding knife @ 7,000 rpm or above and generating a lot of heat you don't need a fancy, smancy, high dollar lubricant in the pivot hinge of a folding knife, mineral oil ill work fine. A thin film of mineral oil left on a high carbon blade is also good rust prevention also.

I've used this on all of the knives in my collection with almost no issues. The heavy handles detent balls. I used the original for most of my knives and the ultralight worked great for my ZBT ultratech. The one issue I have is just the smell and it's not a bad smell just pungent. If they had a formulation that was odorless I would buy it in a instant.
