Levana Oma Sense Portable Baby Breathing Movement Monitor with Vibrations and Audible Alerts Designed to Stimulate Baby and Alert Parents : desertcart.ae: Baby Products Review: Ok, my special tiny princess will always be my baby, but she's 4 now. When she was a newborn I didn't see a point to this kind of device. We had an Owlet style one (probably an Owlet but it's long gone) from the baby shower and it got regifted after a year. I should have kept it. When she was 34 months she developed what was called "reactive airway syndrome" by the asthma clinic at the Children's Hospital. Basically, she got three nasty viruses all at once, twice. I can't remember what was first and what was second. If I'm correct it was Flu, RSV and Pertussis (even though she was vaccinated) the first time. The second time was another three. Both times she ended up with pneumonia and was in the hospital for a total of 19 days. The thing is, after the first admit they thought she'd be fine. We went home for four days, but then started to slow down. No major signs of anything, just slow. We were getting her ready for bed and I went in to check on her due to just having a bad feeling. I put an adult 02 monitor on her and she was in the 80s. We made a decision to go straight to the kids ER. They argued about if to admit her at all among a whole bunch of professionals and then the one actually at the bedside started jumping up and down saying to take her to PICU right away. If we had slept through the night and not checked on her there's a high likelihood that she wouldn't have survived the night. This device would have helped then. Now, it provides peace of mind for parents who have told their baby it was ok to pass if she needed to. You see why I don't care if people hear me call her my special tiny princess. This gadget is in the just in case category. But for us, it might be worth the world some day. Review: This is a pretty near gadget that monitors your baby's breathing. It works well, the alarm is loud (I tested it out on my husband first to make sure it works). I clip it onto my baby's pants without any issues. It relatively small and doesn't feel cumbersome to use either. It's also at a much cheaper price point than an owlet. We're happy with it!

I use this monitor on my newborn, and it’s been a lifesaver. It’s portable, easy to use, and gives me peace of mind by monitoring my baby’s breathing movements. The vibrations and audible alerts are reassuring, making sure I’m always aware if something’s wrong!

This device was recommended by a doctor to my daughter and me for my grandbaby. I’ve never heard of such a thing, but I was willing to purchase it for my grandchild as pure peace of mind. There are too many horror stories of SIDS and baby smothering and all sorts of different things that happen in cribs. I want my daughter to have peace of mind and be able to get sleep while her baby is sleeping. This technology is amazing to me. It’s not the normal monitoring system that we’re all used to. What it does is actually listen to the internal movements in the stomach of the baby. If those movements stop for more than 15 seconds, this device actually vibrates enough to rouse the baby up. And if it cannot rouse the baby up in five seconds and restart those stomach movements, it sends a loud alert to the parents. As it says in its advertisement, this truly is a guardian angel. Another aspect I like is it does not have to touch baby’s skin. I think this is something that every new mom should have for their infant. Highly recommend!
