It's not so easy buying coarse ground pepper with large grounds like this product. I've been using it to smoke meats, and the pepper flavor is appropriately strong. Further, on a cost-per-ounce, it is much cheaper than the better known brands.

I was looking for a coarse ground black pepper and this looked like what I wanted. I received it and it’s exactly the type I needed! This is perfect for steaks and prime rib to get a nice peppered surface. I also grind my pepper too. I have 3 types and they have their place. I would highly recommend this pepper if you’re gonna use it fairly quick. You don’t want it sitting around for two years because it loses flavor... I just ordered another one for my son and I know he’s going to love it too!!! It’s very fresh so that’s great If you’re looking for a good coarse ground black pepper this is definitely the way to go!

The flavor is great with good heat. The problem is with the lid that after a while generally won't close. Along with that are the holes in the lid. The small holes are too small and makes it harder and more time consuming to get the pepper out. The large holes are too big and makes it impossible to control and limit how much pepper comes out often ruining the dish. I'm going to take a drill to the smaller holes and make them large enough to get the pepper out the way I want it. Badia needs to work on their packaging.
