Review: Bare wires, no fuse taps. Great 3 wire kit for Viofo cameras - Bought this for my 1984 car. As other reviews have pointed out, this kit does not come with any fuse taps, Instead just bare wire for you to install, either into fuse taps. Or in my case, crimp ring terminals in and install into my own fuse box. As such I would say this is perfect for me, not buying anything I would not need, however I am aware my install would be a rare case. I have the voltage selector set to the highest voltage, I have had no issues starting the car after the camera has been in parking mode for over 24h
Review: Very happy, repeat purchase for new car - VIOFO hardwire kit, this is second time I've purchased this, once for my car 2 years ago and now for my partners new car. Very happy, be sure to check your fusebox properly for which leg is live - plenty of guides/forums online for every car, easy self install. Paired it with a VIOFO A129 Plus Duo.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: If I buy this kit, does it mean that I won’t have to use cigarette lighter socket when I drive?**
A: Hi, that is correct, the hardwire kit replaces the need for the cigarette lighter power supply. The hardwire connects to the vehicle fuse system with fuse taps. Kind Regards.

**Q: Do you need this hardwire kit for parking mode if you're connecting the dashcam to a parking mode power bank?**
A: No.

This kit allows you to wire the dashcam directly into the car battery. It is a case of either having one or the other.

I think this is the least intrusive and tidiest solution with wires placed behind the vehicle's interior decoration.

**Q: Does it connect both cameras?**
A: Hi, the hardwire kit connects to the front camera; the rear camera is powered from the front camera via the cable. Kind Regards.

**Q: If I buy this kit does it mean that I don’t have to use cigarettes lighter socket when I drive?**
A: Hi, that is correct, the hardwire kit replaces the need for the cigarette lighter power supply. The hardwire connects to the vehicle fuse system with fuse taps. Kind Regards.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A129 cable
*by L***M on 11 June 2023*

Does the job for my Viofo A129. You may need to buy fuse tap off connectors separately for your car, or you can splice wires. But once fitted you can forget about it. It allows me to use 'parking mode' on my camera so I can keep an eye on what's going on around my car when parked on the street on a night. The only downside was that the ferrite ring noise suppressor near the usb plug got in the way of my particular installation, I couldn't tuck it behind the trim like I wanted
