Grow Sponges, Starter Pods Compatible with Aero Garden,Refill Pods for Hydroponic Growing System (50 Pack)

I picked up the EVERECOO Grow Sponges Starter Pods for my indoor hydroponic setup, and they’ve been a really solid choice for starting seeds. The sponges come well-shaped and ready to use, which makes the whole planting process super simple—just drop in your seeds, add water, and you’re good to go. They hold moisture really well without getting overly soggy, which helped improve my germination rate compared to some cheaper alternatives I’ve tried. These pods work great with most hydroponic systems, but they can also be used for traditional seed starting trays. I used them for herbs and lettuce, and they sprouted quickly and evenly. The only minor downside is that they can dry out a bit faster if you’re not monitoring water levels, so you do need to keep an eye on them, especially in warmer environments.

These are a good price and are like the name brand ones. I bought some really cheap and could not get seeds to start. These get the seeds started and I transplant the sponge and plant right into a pot to grow the plants.

Right size, but algae problem. The solution is to sterilize everything (experienced home brewer of beer and wine - sanitize everything). Clean the tub, top, pump, cages and any bits in a light / diluted bleach solution - rinse and air dry. The pods, pre soak in a mix of warm water and hydrogen peroxide for an hour or more. Assemble and fill with water only and then let run over night. Any remaining bleach or peroxide will "gas off". Add liquid plant food, seeds and plant as normal.

Follow the recommended amounts of water and fertilizer on the box and they won't turn green on you.

Fit AeroGarden Harvest XL perfectly. The condensation cap also fit as it should. Will buy again.

REORDER. I use to germinate my plants before planting outside. Arrived on time and in good condition.

I've had mixed results with these. They tend to be on the small side and so they don't perfectly fit in my hydroponics pods. They also typically only germinate at about 60%. I've struggled with certain plant seeds like Cilantro and rosemary. The one time I finally did get Rosemary to start, it died a couple weeks after actually germinating. The last big problem I have is that they tend to mold on top for some reason.

These are great and inexpensive. I have been using my AeroGarden for years. I like to fill my own seed pods instead of buying the pre-seeded pods.
