This stuff works VERY well!
I purchased a used commercial ice machine out of a local restaurant that was working, but making ice really slow, which is why they replaced it. I wanted it for my lake house since we are 20 minutes each direction to purchase ice and I wanted a machine large enough to fill ice chests for the boat. I removed the top cover and hand cleaned everything in the reservoir first and then poured ice machine cleaner and water direct into the reservoir since I didn't have a line hooked up and ran two loads of this stuff through it. Suffices to say, I'm a bit concerned about what is in the ice I get at restaurants because of the nastiness this stuff cleaned out of there. The first load was disturbing. The second was nearly totally clear. I then followed up with a diluted dose of bleach and water and then three loads of straight water. That machine is making crystal clear ice and making it fast now.

It works!!!
Man was I clever! So I thought... I purchased the “Ice Maker Descaler” brand for 1/2 the price. After 2 years, I saved $30 in descaler costs, then ended up with $600 in repairs on my Scotsman ice maker. This NuCalgon is the product to maintain your machine with and remove calcium buildup. Proof is in the pudding…. In just one use of this product, my machine came back to life and started making perfectly shaped crystal clear ice cubes again like when it was brand new. I was able to remove the calcium out of my machine with my finger tips (not nails). Don’t be like me and cut corners to save a buck. Just like me, it will cost you a small fortune in the longer run. The classic “You get what you pay for” wins again…

GAME CHANGER
I thought I was going to have to throw out my GE Opal 2.0 ice maker and after using this, my ice maker is up and running again! Highly recommend!

Works
I guess it worked pretty good. The ice machine started working better after using the cleaner. I was looking for a more shiny clean surface that would make it look new again but that’s not what I seen.

It worked
Our local A/C and appliance repair guy suggested we use this product to clean our ice maker. It worked like a dream. Not only is our icemaker cleaner, but the motor even runs more quietly now!
