Our four-year-old grandson loves to pretend the pirates are all bad guys that want the treasure all for themselves. The pirates can move from island to island by crossing the rock bridge or rowing their way in the boat. This set complements another we have, PLAYMOBIL Pirate Raiders' Ship Playset , but it’s certainly a fun toy all by itself. An adult is necessary for the assembly which can be a bit challenging at times. Frequently three or four bags needed to be opened just to find and assemble a single component. There are two door hinge connectors that require a lot of force to install in the wooden portion of the structure.
