Pulltap's Genuine Slider 900 Corkscrew Wine Key Bottle Opener (Verde Limon - Lemon Green)

I have many corkscrews including a professional one I got working in a French restaurant as a student. I have a Chinese corkscrew that looks almost like a copy of this. I have even tried rabbit type corkscrews. Since I drink a lot of Spanish wine and Spaniards love their wine, I was enticed to try this even though it was more expensive than many. I also was hesitant to buy it because of the hinged lever which on cheaper cork screws don't usually work well. I was pleasantly surprised. First, the retractable capsule foil cutter is sharper and works better than others. Secondly, the hinged lever works well and together with the Teflon coated screw actually work better and in a smaller, sturdier and better looking format than many others.I don't yet know about longevity but I have already used the corkscrew many times and can honestly say it is worth the money. I hadn't heard of Pulltaps before but I would now consider it as giftworthy as well.

This elegant yet utilitarian waiter's corkscrew is well-crafted, with a nice heft and smooth moving parts: foil cutting knife, double-hinge, and corkscrew. Quality materials, with a coated corkscrew that slides into the corks easily. The double-hinge is great for beginners to cork removal. A fine tool that seems likely to last a long time. Pulltap's logo is engraved on the hinge and product is listed as made in Spain.

Not sure why I spent so much time analyzing the different options available, however this unit "just works". Make sure you watch a video on how to use it to ensure a great experience.- Simple- Well designed- Compact- AuthenticDon't buy anything else...and don't get a knockoff version. You'll be happy.

Works fine, but a less expensive corkscrew will work just as well. Does not seem any more well made, durable, or user friendly than any other waiters corkscrew I've used.

I had to get a pulltaps after reading about them on most major wine blogs. I really like the 900 because it has a foil cutter that you push up instead of pulling out. the white color also looks great. I did have to make excahnges due to the ones i received have small imperfections (im really picky). but the double lever works great. the foil cutter is difficult, but none of the ones that are built in ever work well. The gold in the picture is the 900 and the white in the picture is the 500. I ended up ordering a white 900, and i love it.

I really wanted this Pulltap opener, I love the green color because I wouldn't be able to lose it easily. The paint has chipped after a few uses. I'm really disappointed. I guess I should have bought one with no paint.

Portions of the corkscrew were corroded and the coating on the screw was uneven and scratched.
