This was purchased for a Dell Optiplex 980. I bought this cable because the original power supply gave out and I already had a standard power supply on hand but no way to connect it to the motherboard of the Optiplex 980. I've had it plugged in for a couple of days now and haven't had any issues. The cable seems to be well made and it works exactly as expected. I think the price is fair for a specialty part such as this.

Works great. After ordering a replacement power supply for my Dell Optiplex 980 desktop computer twice and getting dead units, I ordered this cable and used a generic power supply. Works just like it should. My computer is back up and running.

If you are looking to upgrade your PSU (in my case i have a optiplex 990 and upgraded from stock PSU to Corsair 600) and realized that it came with a regular 24 pin and not a mini 24 pin then you will be in Luck! The conversion worked perfectly, and was effortlessly to install. I gave this a 4/5 due to the pricing (There are other adapter conversions for 24 pin to mini 24 pin that are a lot cheaper) but shipment was very fast and arrived the next day. Exactly what I was looking for. I'm not sure why Dell is still using the cheapest power supplies in their Business model PCs. Not just that they are using proprietary power supplies in addition to that. This is the solution and worked great with a Dell Optiplex 980! It was pretty much plug and play. no re-wiring necessary.

It worked correctly. the product came on time and in correct shipping materials. used it on a dell 980, worked like a charm.

Well made cable. Unfortunately the pin out didn't match the connector on our Optiplex 980. I don't know if there are different pinouts on the 980 or if the wrong cable was in the correcty marked bag. But it didn't work for us. There is an empty in slot on this conversion cable, and on the original. However, they were one pin off, and different colors. We have no way to rearrange the pins.

It works with Optiplex 980. Bought a wrong power supply that can’t fit the connector on the motherboard. This item fits perfectly. Only issue is delivery took quite long. But can’t expect more as it is delivered to Singapore.
