Nonetheless, these are very absorbent. They seem to trap odor. My dog is between 17-18 years old, and she has kidney issues. So, sometimes her urine can smell a bit strong. Granted, I just started using these and haven't experienced them after being left out for a day. They resist leaking and will make great training pads. There are a good amount in a package, and these will last my dog a good while. The price is right for the amount in a package and for the quality. So far, I think these are better than most, if not all, brands I have used. They absorb very fast. There is no sitting liquid on the surface.
